I'm not sure how much of the thread you read, or if you even read the entire first post, but I'm going to have to assume you didnt understand what it said (or simply assumed it said what you wanted it to say). If you dont see the difference between having a formal political role versus influencing by relationship, then I dont know what to say. Almost every other political representative, congressionally and otherwise, has a spouse that influences their thoughts and opinions. None of their spouses receive official political positions or conduct political activities. And somehow, all of them manage to be more than a pretty face that cooks meals and dresses kids up for school.

Your entire point is incredibly strawman. Somehow, you took opposing a political position for the FLOTUS as meaning that I'm advocating her being a 'pretty face that's supposed to cook meals and dress up the kids for school'. And not that it matters, but yes, I am married and have been for some time.

Between rabid defenses of Michelle Obama (who was never more than an isolated example of the thread topic as far as my posts were concerned) and deliberate misrepresentations of the discussion topic, this thread lost its purpose a while ago.

the only misrepresentation has come from you claiming this is "political". i busted you on what your original link was, a memorandum, and you proceeded to claim it some type of executive order LOL

    Seriously, grow up.

For all intents and purposes, Presidential Memoranda are Executive Orders- please read about them here.

    Presidential Memorandum
The only difference between the two is that Memoranda are seen as being more administrative, but they both gain their authority from the same constitutional provisions and act the same way....
