Honoring Whitney Houston over arguably one of the most brilliant minds of the century in recently deceased Milton Babbitt means your doing it wrong. That is all....
Understood. I guess I was more just making a statement about our cultural well being in general. Don't want to be downer, but it would be a lie to say it doesn't disturb me.
no problem, it just is what it is, unfortunately not everyone who contributes to this society even greatly get their respect. i understand where you're coming from. one thing i can say about whitney though is that she truly had a voice that separated her from even the greatest. is it pop music, sure, but she was truly blessed
This show was the first time in a VERY LONG time I watched more than 1/8th of the show. Though there were some nauseating moments, it really was NOT the "industry devil" I figured it to be. Overall the show was how I always remembered it to be - some decent live performances, some sincere attempts at music (can you really hate on Glen Campbell battling Alzheimers but he still gave it his best to entertain? ) While the awards part is so CONTRIVED and canned. I just dont think Adele is THAT good
Bruno Mars had a very good performance. I haven't seen much of him previously, but he's a natural entertainer. Funny part of Nicki Minaj was at the commercial break before she performed, the narrator voice said Nicki Minaj coming up with a performance "you'll be SURE to remember". And it ended up being what you describe as NOT memorable
