That doesn't really make any sense. If you're watching this show which follows a storyline, you're going to watch the episode regardless if people said it was good or bad. With any show that follows some sort of print that is already out there, there are many careless users on this site that will put spoiler stuff under spoiler tags without any warning, (i.e. the original Game of Thrones thread). I would imagine if someone didn't get to watch the episode yet they would stay away from threads like this that would be discussing it. It's like DVRing a game with the intention of watching it without knowing the outcome but then going to ESPN.com or watching Sportscenter before you get to watch it and being mad they just showed you the score or the highlights. But I guess we can just put spoiler tags on everything and the non-spoiler and spoiler stuff can all be lumped together.

I've been lurking Clutchfans/Clutchcity since the late 90's. You have permission to not post spoilers in a 37 page thread about a tv show.

they have spread zombie blood and guts on themselves, disemboweled a walker, and laid in a pile of corpses of zombies and non zombies alike.

Stop the Truck! we need to show this severed zombie arm getting picked up by this hardened gangster!

Nah. Hell no. Me wanting to read about whether people felt the latest episode was good or bad after a rocky first half is completely different than reading about story details!!!

I go into movie threads all of the time wanting to see how people felt about the movie. I read reviews from critics. But I do not want to have the story ruined.

I avoided this thread when I was a season behind, because I assumed y'all would be discussing old episodes without spoilers. Fair enough. But no spoilers within 24 hours of a new episode airing? You've got to be kidding me.

In all of those scenarios they had extreme emotional and visceral reactions. I think Andrea vomited when they put the zombie guts on themselves in that early episode didn't she?

I don't think the scene was NECESSARY, but I got the point. They are adapting to their world. It has changed them. They aren't skiddish anymore.

    LOL

The whole thread doesn't need to be spoiler after spoiler. I used one in my post because I gave a step by step recount of a segment of the show, but you can't expect people to keep plot details out of their posts.

The format of this post is for Ziggy ;)

To me, that scene was more catered towards
the character transformation of that b**** Andrea.
In the beginning of season 1
Andrea didn't even know how to take the safety off her hand gun
This season has been all about
her evolving into some sort of zombie killing badass
    like several episodes ago when
Andrea out of nowhere was able to mow down all those zombies in that neighboorhood.
    Now
    she
    has no problem
    dealing with severed limbs

My original post about the spoiler tags wasn't meant to call you out just the issue of what would happen when everyone starts put spoiler tags on everything. If everyone put their reactions to episodes and certain scenes/plot developments after they already aired in spoiler tags, we wouldn't be able to get a discussion going without having to look what's under those tags. It takes one careless user to not warn people and have something like "Yea, so and so lived after that incident but if they follow the comics they won't live much longer!!!"

I'm in complete agreement with Wally. I will NEVER spoiler my posts once the episode has aired and if posters like Ziggy have a problem with that, too bad.

The point of the spoiler tag is to hide information that has yet to be revealed on the show. Once an episode has aired, that info is out in the open and can be freely discusses. It's unreasonable to have a discussion thread for a show where you have to censor yourself about things already shown on screen.

Movie thread I can understand because not everybody goes out to see a film on opening night (I still don't go into movie threads after it's been released). But for a TV thread, people are pretty much expected to be watching the show on a weekly basis when it airs and it's expected that posts made immediately after a new episode are going to be discussing that episode. If a poster hasn't seen the episode and doesn't want to know what happens then they shouldn't be reading the new posts.

PS - I've been here since at least '98. You also have my permission to not use spoiler tags once an episode has aired.

Do anyone else think the girl who passed out in the kitchen was scratched?

I'm wondering if they will use this plot to develop the infected storyline further beyond the "only get it by being bitten."

She was feverish and sweating at the end. Seems weird for someone who is in simple shock. The show hasn't really shown us someone go through the slow turn. Andrea's sister bled to death before she reanimated, but Morgan talked about his wife getting a really bad fever before she turned.

I think she'll turn & they'll have Hershal shoot her..just to show how he's changed.

On "Talking Dead", someone called in and suggested:
that maybe the virus had become airborne. One of the guests, who's part of the show, gave a "hmmmm, interesting, could be" response that seemed to give the theory some validity. Chris Hardwick, the host, said that he watched that first scene closely and didn't see her get bitten or scratched.

See, there's a good use of the spoiler tag.

It was a good mid season opener!

Hubby commented on the episode... "i want to see some zombie killing! Not this BS soap opera"...looks like he is in the same crowd as you guys. :)

Agreed 100% with your comment here. I dislike both Shane and Dale, they both annoy me whenever I watch with their constant bickering and disdain towards one another. Scott Wilson has been a delight to watch, even though his time on the show is probably winding down with each episode.

This upcoming episode looks great, hopefully it's filled with action and not unnecessary dialogue.

Her hair is long which you wouldnt be able to really see since it was in the way and maybe she was scratched on the back of the neck or something but it was just a theory.
Same thing my dad, everyone I watch the show with, and I said.

Actually I was thinking of the theory that everyone has the "virus" in them already to become walkers. So they're basically "walking dead" already. That maybe that's what the CDC guy told Rick at the end of season 1. So in order to ensure they don't respawn he shoots them in the head. It would support the theory but I have no idea if it's true or not.

There are hundreds of sites you can go to for what you're looking for. The Clutchfans discussion thread certainly does not need to cater to that.
