Enjoyed the episode, I hope that shane kills off old man river, or he gets eaten. Cringed when Lori got in the car because I knew she would crash, and now hoping that isn't the story arc for the next 3 episodes
Thought last nights show was still slow but Rick's moment was very impressive and well done. Funny that other people were saying the samething me and wife said when Rick's wife crashed.
That episode was so boring. I wish they would have just started at a different point than right after the kid zombie was shot. Most of the time was just spent on burying/burning the dead zombies. We could have just assumed they cleaned up and started a little later on. Then, actually get on with another plotline....versus just going into town to the bar to find Herschel. Then, dumb pregnant lady wrecks her car when she shouldn't have even been out. Get off the damn farm already! Even Rick having the ballz to shoot a couple lowlifes (a huge stretch considering he's a trained cop) didn't save this episode. It was a wasted episode in my book.
The end was very nerve racking Spoiler I could feel the tension building and I even had that nervous feeling in my stomach watching Rick deal with those two dudes. It was the only highlight of the episode and all I could think about after that scene was, Spoiler Aw **** that means they are staying even longer on that farm? ****!!! I kept telling my girlfriend who's been a huge fan of the books (she's given up on the show already) that I might have to take a break on Sundays and just catch up the the episodes on DVR.
somebody please explain her thought process. The way I saw it, she was worried of sending people out there, so when they left, she asked other people to go out there. That's stupid. Dumb plot-writing. I would have understood if Shane went with Rick to go find the old guy. Then, Lori would have had reason to be worried enough to send someone out there. Especially after what tattle Dale told her about Shane. Much like last season, the end made up for the rest of the slow, unthoughtout mess before
while it was stupid that olive oil left, and her rationale made no sense at all people are missing a very important point. She's a pregnant women, hence there is no rationale
on that note, when dale told olive oil about shane and otis why didnt he also mention how he saw shane pointing a gun at rick in the woods. if he is trying to make everyone turn on shane that would be the way to go. my least favorite character is easily carl. that kid annoys the hell out of me. i dont know if the kid is just a horrible actor or he is supposed to be that way, but id love to see him get his. also, it was funny seeing dave navarro kind of rip the show to the producers face on talking dead.
I don't hate the show. I've defended it here and loled at some of the complaints. In general I even liked last night's episode. I loved the bar scene. The scene with the wife was just so stupid and contrived though. As long as that doesn't become the major storyline of this half of the season I'll be fine. If it does, yikes... It just didn't make sense. Spoiler Husband drives off with Glen to go get Hershel, both are armed and capable of defending themselves. Wife gives a freak out speech about how Rick shouldn't leave because the kid needs his father. Short time later, she goes to ask someone else to go fetch her husband and Hershel. What? Does she think her husband and Hershel are shacking up? He hasn't been gone long, and he left to go get the man. Give him at least some time, dang. When the bad dude tells her no and calls her a funny name, she hops into a car to go into a town she's never been by herself with pea shooter all while trying to read a map as she drives? Thanks to this completely illogical sequence of events, she runs into a walker, flips her car (lol wut?) after hitting him and now we get the "pregnant wife in major car accident" storyline that is daytime tv cliche? If there were going to give us a "Rick's wife and unborn child are in danger" cliffhanger they should have at least given a logical reason why it happened.
Several people have said this before but, I don't feel that it is necessary to put spoiler tags on something after the episode has already aired if it is pertaining to that episode. I feel this is an issue because there are people that read the comics or have already read the premise for the season's remaining episodes on AMC.com so I never know if information that is actually a spoiler is under the spoiler tags.
It absolutely is necessary. I haven't seen the episode yet, I just came in to see what the consensus was about it being a good or bad episode. Just sit back and enjoy CF. Let the 99'ers handle the big boy decisions.
the part with the severed arm in the truck made absolutely no sense to me or as far as advancing the storyline goes. did anyone think the arm was going to reanimate and grab whatshername?
It showed how the group is getting harder, tougher. Riding in a truck of corpses? No problem. Severed arm? I got it.
