The food was very good. My wife and I went with another couple and we all got the tasting menu. Is it the best sushi in town? It's in my top 3, but I'm not ready to crown it king just yet. Definitely some interesting twists to the food. Our group had 2 bottles of Sake, a bottle of White Burgundy and a Monterey Chard, and with the tasting menus and 4 hours (!), the bill was $810 (group of 4). Way overpriced. I'm not sure what took so damn long for all the food courses to come out, but 4 hours is ridiculous, and it caused us to keep ordering alcohol (#firstworldproblem). Also -- If you're going to pay that kind of money at a restaurant, the waiters better not be wearing Adidas Samba shoes. Give me a break. I will say the waiter we had was extremely knowledgeable about Sake and Sushi. We recognized the guy from when he used to be at Haven. He was very creative with the dishes he brought out for us, based upon our stated preferences. I liked the experience and the space better than the location in Austin. This appears to now be their showcase restaurant of the bunch. I'd go back.
150-175 per person doesn't sound that high for Omakase. 4 hours sounds excessive though unless it was a 15-20 course tasting, how many was it?

Obviously. Texxx, two questions: 1. How much of the bill was alcohol? 2. Fess up: Are you expensing this? If not, another reason to question your sanity. What was the occasion?
I tipped 20% -- the $810 amount included tip. There were around 10 courses, plus a couple toss-ins from the chef This meal was not expensed to the work account -- this was all on bigtexxx. Although if you're really curious, I did expense a $1500 meal at Cecconi's on Miami Beach on Thursday night, followed by a $2100 bar tab at a club called LIV at the Fountainbleu (sp?) hotel that same night.
