butterfly effect of jeremy lin because of basketball reason, we fail to get Gasol because of basketball reason, we fail to send Goran Dragic to Hornets because of basketball reason, we fail to make Lin 2nd Choice on PG position because of basketball reason, we fail to get salary room for Nene because of basketball reason, we fail to get gasol, nene and lin
It's to the point where I'm disappointed that the Rockets ever picked him up. Now we're stuck with the curse of Lin's bandwagon. "We came so close..."
I just hope Les Alexander is pissing in Stern's ear every chance he gets reminding Stern how he screwed us over.
missed one: because of basketball reasons, we ran out of time to resign chuck and let him go to the kings.
Even though this has all been said before and there are too many Lin topics already etc, I'm just going to take the rookie OP's side on this one for a minute because I think this is a topic which can bear having a full thread about it. OP is not wrong--it is the simple truth. Amazingly the Rockets are still 16-11 despite the NBA doing everything possible to ruin this year for us, but raging at the NBA and Stern is completely cool with me.
Which I suppose is either a testament to the players, coaching, Morey, or combination of all of it. With the trade, yes, Lin would likely be second string -- very serviceable at best...meaning he'd get about as much hype/exposure as Brooks and Lowry got when they started getting meaningful minutes with the Rockets...definitely not the NY treatment. D'Antoni should be kissing Lin's feet...and Lin's agent should be sending flowers to the Post/Daily News.
