If Jared Jeffries hit corner threes, and magically became one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA, and If we had two top 15 players to go with him, I might consider it. Call me crazy.
He is booed by the knicks fans for a reason. He is offensively inept, terrible at finishing layups. So he is what he is, playing hard, but certainly not a starting caliber player.
Knicks picm drops 5 spots from 10th to 15th. Without their all-stars, the 5 game lin-streak dropped the pick from 8th to 15th overall. Thanks Morey. Now the pick us losing value.
As a fan of basketball, it kind of blows to spend a whole season rooting for another team to lose. I feel like I'm cheering on a credit default swap.
You ever play the stock market? You do know Amare and Melo are coming back ant that will kill that team.
You may question Melo, but Amare? Imagine how he looks like alongside a young but less experienced Nash in Lin. Can I say scarey?
I'm telling you guys Melo is going to be fine. It's not like Lin has a attitude and is going to complain about Melo getting his shots. Melo played great with a great PG before in Billups
D'antoni has no choice. If Melo doesn't get the ball then he will leave The Knicks and That just won't happen.
d'antoni was about to let lin go said that he was not in their plans. Melo lobbied for more minutes for his friend lin. knicks looked a whole lot better with billups/lin(PG) than melo and Douglas/shumpert(sg).
This is true. Melo is going to be much better not having to run the team from the top. I'm sorry but Lin playing like he is makes the Knicks a top 4 seed in the East. Don't be surprised if they are in the Eastern Conference Finals with an upset of Miami or Chicago. Lin allows everybody to go back to doing their job and he provides the perfect balance between Melo and Amare. Both of their scoring numbers are going to dip a little bit. But it will be for the better of that team. They are going to be a handful to defend once Amare and Melo come back, a handful. And defensively, they are very, very good. I'm not saying it's going to happen. But I won't be surprised if they beat Chicago or Miami. They're going to be a very tough out in the playoffs.
I agree. Really I agree if Lin continues this stellar play they are going to be a tough out for any team in the east. I'm not too disappointed though. Not many expected the Knicks to be where they were before the Lin thing (a bad team looking at the lotto) it would have been a stroke of luck (Houston teams have no luck) for the Knicks to continue losing and give us a solid pick.
You probably haven't watched Knicks games, believe me before they gave Lin minutes they looked really bad. I really find it hard to believe that Douglas would had lead this squad without Melo and Amare on this winning streak. They were on the verge of going on a downward spiral that would had probably buried them for good, especially when you consider that they are about to face their toughest part of their schedule.
Knicks have an easy schedule for the rest of the month. Linsanity will continue for the next 3 weeks. March will be brutal for them.
Draft pick will still be ours regardless. I don't think anyone expected the Knicks to not make the playoffs anyways and they have played cupcake teams the last five games and Lin looked awful last night 8 of 24 shooting is not a good %
