Brutally inefficient?!? Have you seen his PER/TS% before this game? It was ridiculous. 7 Games in 10 nights will gas ANYONE. Who else does he have on his team to help carry them? He HAS to have a high usage rate by necessity. Before tonight's game he was shooting a RIDICULOUS 58%. Smh...
Goran is a much better player. He is very, very efficient in the limited minutes he is given. Considering he has dropped 24 before, in a quarter, against a top defense in the playoffs, I'm pretty sure he could play to at least the effectiveness of Lin, given the poor competition and the ungodly amount of touches and minutes he's had. He would most likely turn it over less as well.

I can understand you rooting for our players but Lin has been tearing up the league being undrafted..... If you value PER please take a look http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/holl.../insider.espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/statistics He looked like a superstar out there.... 25 PER of a true superstar and he has had 29
Lin went 1 for 14 in the second half tonight. Still they got the win. He's going to come back to earth a bit, but overall Lin has made NYK a much better team by giving him a competent PG which they seriously missed.
Kyle Lowry was in the top 10 in PER until recently.... Either way, you can't possibly expect him to continue playing at that level. I don't have anything against Lin, but that is just not realistic. He played 3 bottom 8 defensive teams and a Lakers team that was exhausted. That in itself was fairly obvious. Tonight both teams were on a back to back. He went 8-24 with 6 turnovers. That is very bad. You can't reasonably assume he is going to stay as hot as he was for that 4 game stretch. It would be premature to call this game fluke either, as he has only played a handful of games. His stats are somewhat inflated as he is playing way too many minutes, he is getting way too many touches and he is turning the ball over way too much. Again, I don't have a problem with Lin but we need to temper our expectations. If he is the second best player after Lebron James after a full season, the universe is going to implode.... Players get hot from time to time. He was in the right place at the right time, but lets be real here.....
he aint the second best behind LBJ but this is based on 13 games played if you care to look not just 4 games.
..... I am not saying anything new or other than give him some respect... Daryl Morey is doing it... why can't you?
Check his game log. Playing 5 minutes and taking 1-2 shots isn't really indicative of anything. The only other game he has been given meaningful minutes was against the Rockets in which he went 3-9 for 9 points 6 assist and 3 turnovers in 20 minutes. Not that great. The minutes he has played over this recent stretch. 36, 45, 36, 39, 39. And you don't think his numbers are inflated?
9 points 6 assists is very impressive for someone not being drafted and waived and waived times again
I respect him. This may be where we are losing each other. I hate to see the Knicks win, just like any Rockets fan should right now. Having said that, I think Jeremy will be a good player when it is said and done. I by no means am saying he is trash. I just don't think he will be as good as his numbers currently indicate. I also think it's way too soon to compare him to either Kyle or Goran.

Fair enough. Just on a side note..... Pringles looks like a bad coach these years.. but you forget he was a mastermind when he was with the Suns... he aint no bad coach... and it is very natural that he starts winning again.
