They both played equally bad, but Rubio will get the nod for taking Lin off his superstar games and for that amazing block at the end of the 4th. Of course, no one will remember Rubio and the ball off his foot in the last minute lol!
They're both playing in the 2nd game of a back to back. Knicks the 4th game in 5 nights. Both tired obviously.
All that matters is that W. Lin will get more props for keeping the Knicks on the winning streak than putting up sick stats.
Lin didn't get a chance to take a breather for the entire fourth quarter. I get that Lin is the best active player on the Knicks right now, but D'Antoni should have rested Lin at the end of the third / start of the fourth for at least 3-5 minutes. Lin couldn't get anything going in the fourth.
He wanted Lin to play through it. Because there are going to be games not against the Wolves where Lin is going to have to play 40+ minutes. Better condition him against the Wolves than have him gas out against the OKC. That's my view of it, anyway. Who knows what Pringles is thinking.
Lol you want to compare a high lottery pick to an undrafted kid that was waived times again How silly.....
Rubio outplayed Lin the entire 2nd half but Lin was clutch and Rubio choked. Doesn't bode well for Minnesota, regardless of his skills. At least Rubio did call that time out instead of forcing the designed play to Love... that makes things a bit easier to swallow if you're a Timberwolves fan.
Lin wanted to stay in I believe, at least based on the post game interview with MDA Anyway Lin leads in a landslide on the NBA.com poll
He knew if Lin sat it would have been game over. Lin's pass to Novak for the 3 was the key. Another guy in there might not have delivered it or command the attention he got.
Rubio is a great passer but shoots horribly. He was never a good shooter and probably never will be either.
He's been a pro for a pretty long time already so I'm just basing it on facts. Past is a pretty good predictor of the future. He may be able to get better but the odds are against him.
