Lol, i'm not upset. I don't even know you. We've all been wrong at least once. Durvasa just called you out today about Lin. Don't pretend you're perfect. At least I'm at the right place.I'm not sure why you keep coming here when you're no longer a Rockets fan, assuming you ever were. The rockets are winning, playing good ball, and yet i can go back at least 50 posts of yours and there's nothing discussing it. The closest you came to discussing the team was suggesting Scola should have sent Love a message after he stepped on him. You spend 99% of your time discussing everything else and occasionally step in here to diss the team. You're such a great Rockets fan, Kwame.
This is also my view. This needs to be a learning experience. This Linderella story can always serve as an example of what NOT to do. Second string athletes should be evaluated more stringently than the first string for they are usually the weakest link. This is also where the diamonds in the rough are found. The unexpected intangibles. These youth athletes that for some reason, weather it is confidence or skill, need advise, encouragement or simply extra time or playing time to show who they are. We are all more than we let on, more than we are perceived. These youth sometimes just need extra attention. It can potentially pay hugh dividends. I propose that assistant coaches. Second in command so to speak run scrimmages with second tier athletes to constantly nurture amd evaluate their potentials.
I won't call them the racist, but I believe basketball community, especially NCAA coaches, and NBA coaches & management, don't really think Asian heritage players can ball, unless you are some 7fts. Lin took his high school to the state championship, beat the power house team with two future-Duke players, on his way to be named California High School Player of the year. Lin didn't get a single D1 scholarship offers, which has never happened in the past for the State Player of the year. The NBA scout report has his strength & weakness described exactly as you see his playing in the last few games, but still NO team drafted him anyway.
Lol, is this all you got after others have called YOU out in this thread, smh. I guess this is your "sophisticated" way of taking a cheap shot at me. I believe two posters before I even came in this thread called you out for being a blind Morey supporter with one stating your face was either in or attached to Morey's sack, metaphorically speaking of course. But we all know about how you and blind support go together like Rafer Alston and bricks. Keep tracking my posts all you want. The Rockets are on the mediocrity treadmill. They'll win some and lose some. They'll either end up as a team that gets knocked out in the first round of the playoffs or just miss the post-season and get another low lottery pick. This is objective analysis...something you're not familiar with, which is why you try and question an individual's fanhood instead. Over 12,000 posts at a rate of 10 posts per day and this is all you can come up with. Smh, just smh. I wonder how many of those 12,000 posts are actually critical of the Rockets organization. I'm willing to bet not many...if any at all. There's nothing wrong with being a homer, but at least acknowledge your homerism instead of lashing out at others for bringing it to your attention.
I totally agree he was stereotyped and overlooked for being Asian and having a lack of height. A tragedy because we have a left over Asian market still here.
but he made THE drive that led to his eventual game winning FT. he displayed a MAJOR clutch gene. i wish we had a closer like jeremy lin.
I don't really fault Morey that much. It would have been a no brainer to keep Lin if this four game streak had been as a Rocket instead of a Knick, but it didn't and wouldn't have. Lin had to have heavy minutes to show what he was capable of and those minutes were not available with the Rockets.
It's that, and the system. And him being exploited in the NY media. I'm not sold and won't be unless he helps lead the Knicks to the second round of the playoffs.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see a 1st round opponent in their seeding range that they can beat. Likely scenario for them if they make the playoffs: 6-8 seed. That's CHI, PHI, BOS, or MIA. I don't see it, folks. I'll give them a shot vs. the Sixers, but I'd take PHI in 7. 2013 is the "all or nothing" sort of year for the Knicks.
He will not need to score nearly as much after Stat and Melo are back. His penetration will still be there coupled with his vision and play make skills. If played right, he is going to help out Melo and Stat tremendously because defense will have to respect him. He see him play like Rondo in his first year with the Celts.
Dude is a good rotational player and will come back down to earth quickly. My fantasy team doesn't want that to happen. It just seems inevitable.
I was almost certain he earned a spot on the Rockets roster after this game. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/IqykmzmOSV4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
