INDIANA receives: Marcus Morris, Patrick Patterson, Johnny Flynn, NY Pick HOUSTON recieves: Paul George and 1st round pick.
The PHX trade works cleanly if broken into two trades Brooks ...for... T-Will & Patterson Morris ...for... Dragic & Budinger the pick can be added to one or the other; this way we save $18,746
Martin, Scola, Flynn to BOS for Garnett Thabeet, Hill, 2nd '12 via MIN to NO for Kaman Make a run in the playoffs with: Lowry, Dragic Lee, Budinger, Williams Parsons, Morris Garnett, Patterson Dalembert, Kaman, Smith expiring: Dragic, Williams, Garnett, Kaman, Smith resign Lee around 5-7 for 4yrs hopefully bring over Motiejunas and Llull draft Meyers Leonard with NY 1st and get the rights to Darius Miller in 2nd rd. sign Smith to another small contract cap space to upgrade SF going after N. Batum or W. Chandler in FA I prefer Chandler Lowry, Llull Lee, Budinger, Miller Chandler, Morris, Parsons Motiejunas, Patterson Dalembert, Leonard, Smith
Martin, Morris, Motiejunas, Thabeet, Hill, and the NYK pick to Orlando for Dwight. PG: Lowry/Dragic/Flynn SG: Lee/Williams SF: Parsons/Budinger PF: Scola/Patterson C: Howard/Dalembert/Smith Then, in the summer, trade Lowry and Dalembert for Deron: PG: Williams/Dragic SG: Lee/Williams? SF: Parsons/Budinger PF: Scola/Patterson C: Howard/Smith
On Wexler's show they said the Rockets most valuable trade assets are the Knicks first round pick and Patrick Patterson.
4 team trade Rockets trade- Martin, Dragic, J.Hill, minny 2nd rd pick Get- Sessions, Granger This would allow us to see what Lee can do as a full-time starter. McHale loves playing big so Bud could play SG off the bench. Granger is an upgrade over Parsons at SF. Sign Smith. Lowry/ Sessions Lee/ Bud Granger/ Parsons Scola/ Patterson Dalembert/ Smith Knicks trade- Stat Get- Jamison (exp. contract), Thompson, They will need some money to sign Lin if they want to keep him so trading Stat for Jamison contract would allow them cap space and Thompson could be the long-term answer for the Knicks at PF Cavs trade- Jamison, Thompson, Sessions, Get- G. Hill, J. Hill, Stat They need another good player to play alongside Irving and Stat could be it. Getting him could allow them to entice another play in FA to play with them. Both Hills would give them depth off the bench. Pacers trade- Granger, G.Hill Get- Martin, Dragic, minny 2nd rd pick They need some offense badly. Martin would fit well for them and would allow George to slide back to SF. Collison isn't been playing well for them so Dragic could possibly be they guy they want going on.
Houston gets: Jeremy Lin New York gets: Goran Dragic, NYK 2012 1st Rounder Do you think NYK would do this trade?
4 team trade - houston hornets lakers and boston houston gets kaman Lakers get rondo and flynn (50/50 chance) Hornets get scola, bud and dragic Boston gets pau gasol might sound like a stupid trade but it might happen
The main guy I'm targeting if I'm the Rockets is 2nd yr F/C Derrick Favors from the Utah Jazz. Young Promising Player, who has yet to fulfill his immense potential, but has shown sign's of brilliance! Trade: Utah / Houston Houston receives: Derrick Favors, Jamal Tinsley, Josh Howard and Earl Watson. Rockets do this because they get a potential franchise center in Derrick Favors, a guy who has the tools (footwork, athleticism) to become a special player in this league, and a guy who the Rockets can groom under Kevin McHale. Not to mention we a get a ton of expiring's in the trade further increasing our cap space this summer. Utah receives: Kevin Martin, Chase Budinger and Patrick Patterson. Utah does this because they receive much needed help at the SG position, with arguably one of the top 10 shooting guards in the league. Along with productive young players who can come in and contribute off the bench right away. So they can compete now and into the future.
I would love to pull off a trade with Indiana - but I dont see it happening... they have many good pieces on reasonable contracts, but they still have significant capspace... theyre in the same boat we are - would love to move 2 or 3 players for a superstar. Unfortunately, we dont have any significant upgrades for them (outside of maybe Lowry) and they dont need expiring contracts... Dont see Favors happening... Maybe Cousins - but doubtful... In the offseason, I say we make a move for Bogut - assuming he comes back from injury ok... with him buttin heads with Skiles, he may have worn out his welcom in Milwaukee... and they have enough issues that a mutually benficial deal could be worked out...
Chicago on the otherhand is 11.5M over th cap with Asik and a couple 1m/yr contracts expiring... they might be someone we could move some significant expiring contracs to.... I'd take Boozers 13.5M before Pau's 18.5M/yr... Deng would give us a solid starting 5.... but theyre probably content to pay the surplus....
Boozer's a loser, one strained pinky and he's out 7 months. He's the type of guy who doesn't really care whether he wins or loses, as long as he gets paid. Pass on that guy. One team mentioned Indiana, and I think they're the perfect trade target if we get a consolidation trade. I'd love to get my hands on either David West or Paul George for someone we already have on the roster (like say Scola+X for West or C-bud+X for George). West and George aren't superstars, but they're already on a level that's hard to find in the league for a reasonable price. I think going for a roster upgrade like those guys is much more reasonable than going for pipe dreams like Dwight.
two trades to become contender: 1.) Martin + Scola + Dragic for Al Jefferson + Harris 2.) Patterson + Parsons for Nicola Batum NY's pick OR two 2nd round picks can be used in either trade Dalembert, Hill, Thabeet Jefferson, Morris, Smith Batum, Budinger Lee, T-Will Lowry, Harris, Flynn this starting line-up should be a top 3 defensive team while still decent on offense. what's scary is Flynn+T-Will+Hill+Thabeet = a expiring max contract that we can use in FA
