Houston's skyline is beautiful because of the spacing, unique angles and has a very soothing and unassuming feeling.. One of the best I have seen. Chicago has the best in my opinion, excellent design and diversity. Been to a number of Asian countries and other foreign cities.. Asian ones are often just ugly.

On a side not, have lived in Chicago, NY, London, HK recently.. Came back to Houston recently and was stunned by the amount of constant growth.. Not like that in rest of USA.

That was the first thing I noticed, lol.

I love Houston's skyline. What city is it that has the skyline or buildings that look like something from the future? I think its either in Japan, or China.

I've also always liked Toronto's skyline, maybe it's because I live here.

Are there any observation decks open to the public in any of the buildings downtown?

My favorite US skylines are Seattle and San Francisco. Haven't seen them all, but have seen most major ones. NYC's size is impressive. Chicago's can be nice... But I think Seattle is the perfect combination of size, architecture and natural backdrop.

Vancouver should get a mention, though it doesn't really have a building that really stands out like other cities.

San Fran's is a bit overrated to me. The view from the Golden Gate bridge is awesome but makes it seem like its a better skyline than it really is.
