With the walk away loss of sensation Jeremy Lin, who else do we have at the end of the bench that is not getting properly evaluated or being given a chance? Bird now says " Wanna win play Lin, wanna have fun Le Brun"!
I hope it's not Twill, Flynn or Thabit..... Those have all the potentials and little drive..... Asians can drive can't they?
At this point we have to see what we have in T-Will. I can easily see him burning us with another team next year and talking mess on twitter afterwards. #WHOOOOP
At this point, i am thinking T-Will and Flynn shoud have opportunities. If i recall correctly, Flynn and Lin were neck and neck during the offseason. Maybe that was part of the reason Lin was released.
We didn't see this current Lin during the preseason. You are lying if you say you did. Getting starting minutes makes a huge difference. Hence, Lin's multiple turnovers.
Lin got invited to training camp, despite already have 3 PGs, because we liked what he brings to the table. Its not like we were completely oblivious as to what his strengths were. There are a lot of factors that go into making roster cuts in training camp. Its not just a matter of keeping the 15 guys you like the most. If only it was that easy. And people need to understand that when it comes to player evaluation, there's always an unknown component. Sometimes players will be terrible despite all the indicators, and sometimes they'll turn out really good despite all the indicators. Randomness is part of the game that team builders have to contend with .
Im pretty sure this exact same thread was composed not even a week ago FYI. -That being said, all the players at the end of the bench can play in the right system and on the right team, with exception to Thabeet. That guy is not an NBA player. I know this is just another Jeremy Lin thread so Im not going to go into detail about him, but Morris has tons of potential, but he's just not ready to do the intangibles on defense that Parsons is bringing just yet, and Bud has been phenominal the past couple weeks. Ill tell you this much. This wont be the last time that a player the Rockets once had at the end of their bench blows it up on another team.
He's not ready. His defense isnt there yet, as seen in RGV. He is having trouble on defense down there. Give him another couple weeks till the trade deadline.
This is actually a good Lin thread. I feel like we should give T-Will and Thabeet more chances. The only way they can get better is through actually playing in games..T-Will is a talented player and I bet he can't wait til bolt during the off season. As for Thabeet. he probaly doesn't really care as long as hes in the nba.
Oh and Marcus Morris. This guy was suppose to be a natural scorer. Give him the ball and see what he can do. If he was on any other team he would be in the rotation, him and T-Will.
So, if we are looking for someone, like Lin, with good handles, good passing ability, the ability to get into the lane, a humble and professional demeanor, but a shaky J and need an opportunity to prove himself, the obvious candidate is Terrence Williams.
