buffalo bayou bark, or the sabine park. i'm not sure what it's called. it's located between memorial dr and allen pkwy. it's also where the skate park is.

That photo was taken in between the Houston Police Officer's Memorial and the Federal Reserve Bank building. If you are heading towards downtown on Memorial Dr., you can pull off into one of those little car parking things they have along that road.

Between Memorial Dr. and Allen Parkway by the Houston Police Officer's Memorial

    Google Maps "Street View"

If any of you remember the old Burt Reynold's movie "The Man Who Loved Women", there was a scene were Burt got, uh, "serviced" in one of those parking thingy's off Memorial drive.

Sydney looks really nice. I also love some of the previously-posted pics of Hong Kong.

Houston's downtown area has always looked beautiful, it looks so calm. I think it's nice, but nothing beats the NYC Skyline.

Not bad, although I feel like Les Alexander designed that one building after our dildo logo.

I take this back. After seeing some of the shots of Chicagos skyline today, I have to say Chicago's skyline is the best lookng in the U.S.

Well, this is a heck of a bump. I almost posted in it, until I remembered it was a couple of years old and I already have. Looked through the thread again and realized that I never said Houston's ranking was crazy. It is crazy. I love my hometown, and the skyline rocks, but no way does it deserve 6th best in the world. Heck, it probably would be hard pressed to rank in the top ten. I wouldn't put it there.

Yeah... I don't really find Houston's impressive enough to be mentioned with the world's TBH. It's an underrated skyline though.

I was really impressed with Houston's skyline when I first came there in 1995, but that was mainly because I had not been to too many other places with an impressive skyline yet (except Hongkong and Seoul). We don't have skylines in Germany (except in Frankfurt a bit), it's a different concept here. In the meantime, I have been to so many cities with amazing skylines...but I still miss Houston's, for nostalgic reasons. It has probably changed quite a bit since I last saw it.

Lin approves of skylines of Taipei and Shanghai.
