Who would you want to be your starting pg now and for the future? Rubio = better facilitator Lin = better scorer and can get into the paint with ease Irving = better all around game
Lin, Rubio, Irving tomorrow Irving, Lin, Rubio short term Lin, Rubio, Irving long term Rubio, Lin, Irving long long term If you can pass in the NBA it don't matter how old you are. So I ranked them based on that.
Damn it's crazy two of the top three upcomin PGs aren't black, excuse my political incorrectness just think it's noteworthy. also i voted lin
I still take Rubio. I think he is a better team leader, facilitator, does the small things to get a team going and can run a squad. Kyrie Irving is a hell of a scorer and can lead a team, but I always prefer someone who can get others involved rather than a pure scoring pg(derrick rose is the exception). Then Lin. If Lin is great in the right offense like Dantoni and he is showing he can do somethings if you give him room the work, but he still doesn't h ave the upside those two guys do
im a big Jeremy Lin fan but still gotta take it game by game. talent-wise: Irving, Rubio, Lin like others have said though, depends on who their teammates are (although i feel like Lin could get the most out of his teammates) Rubio is the best passer out of the three. It's like comparing Kidd(Rubio), Rose(Irving), and Stockton/Nash(Lin) all in their primes (i think it's a fair assessment since all 3 (Irving, Rubio, and Lin) are just starting their careers). Jazz hate aside, Stockton was a heady player and backed down from no one despite being inferior strength-wise. Lin still needs to vastly improve his shot to even be considered in the same league as Nash or Stockton but (barring injuries) I think he can get there.
A slower Parker.......but better pace can drop 20 to 40 any given night........assist 6-10 assists.... get into the paint.... can nail the occasional trey
So the Asian guy gets almost 3x the votes as the Black or White guy? These Chinese posters here are racist as hell.
Lin, because he has the highest ceiling. He's only starting to develop and face this level of competition. He's just starting to learn and it's really scary how good he's going to get.
Irving Lin Rubio in that order. it's funny because rubio is the only player i'm following closely outside of rockets before Lin broke out though i never think he's going to be that great. i just think he's so fun to watch. now after watching what Lin's capable of doing, i think Lin can be better, an all star one day. But Irving is clearly the best player overall.
