Maybe my brain isn't working, but I don't understand what he's trying to say.

Same feeling here. Morey should be given some credit for even signing him when we already had 3 PGs, and hanging on to him until he had to make a decision on the last roster spot. But there is no escape (which he admitted as much) that he did undervalue Lin. If anything, Morey should beat everyone else in this aspect of the game.

And I'll also say that there's no indication that any other team valued Lin more than us. If the Knicks were in our situation roster-wise and they also needed to sign another player, they probably would have cut Lin too. It took over a month for D'Antoni to put Lin in his rotation, and that's with crappy PG play. What does that tell people?

Tells me that I am smarter than both D'Antoni and Morey, those two idiots.

    edit: I found the answer.

There could have been multiple playoff teams that claimed Jeremy Lin. Rockets win for having a bad record.

Unfortunately, Morey is all talk. He has been acquiring low-quality 2009 rejects from other teams.

    Dear Rocket fans,

Do not watch the Knick-Laker game currently airing on ESPN.

I hadn't really been bothered much by this whole thing, even after the last few games. Watching this Lakers/Knicks game though....I can't believe how badly the Rockets missed on that. :(

Watching the knicks implode making our pick better was one of the better parts of this season for me. Im steadily losing my faith in morey :(

Is it really that bad though? I mean we have Lowry/Goran, it's not like Lin was going to get time anyway.

Its not just about weather he would have played here, he is obviously more valuable then the other horrid players we have at the end of our bench, and isnt morey all about obtaining valuable assets? i know im blowing it out of proportion but it just sucks being a houston sports fan, everything always turns to **** for us. Oh well thats all the QQ i have for this topic lol.

Morey ****ed up. There are no excuses for it.

Doesn't matter if he was going to get time here immediately or not. Greg Smith isn't going to see much time here. Morey, why did you sign him? "We liked his potential and we didn't want another team to sign him."

As for the same reason Adrien got released, they waived the non-guaranteed contract and kept the '09 busts.

Why do people consider him to be one of the better GMs in the league again?

Because he makes good 2nd round draft choice. But imo if Morey gets another loto pick and he ends up in the dleague/benchwarmer or not very effective I would be in favor of getting fired.
