    Right. And as someone else mentioned, this was Lucas' idea anyway. It's not that absurd. In our own history we've had periods of major intellectual retreat. See the Dark Ages.

    That said, it was still "too shiny"

    I've never understood the heat this movie took. I enjoyed it 13 years ago, and i enjoyed it yesterday. There was simply no way people were gonna be it happy with it, impossible expectations. To me the Darth Maul fight scene was by far the best of all 6 movies, although it was undercut by a bogus finish.


    As for the 3d it was entirely unnecessary, added nothing to me, but i still enjoyed it. I'll probably catch 5 of the 6, I'm not watching episode 2, that was the one true dud of the new trilogy, but it's fun seeing star wars on the big screen.

    What's to report? You've seen the movie. It was great seeing a Star Wars film on the screen with my Stars Wars Lego building 7 year old who had never seen a Star Wars film on the big screen.

    And the Spiderman reboot 3D preview was absolutely unreal.

    I seem to side with both last responses. The only thing it adds is a bit more "depth" in the battle scenes, and it totally rocked the PodRaces. :cool: Also, the battle scenes and flying through the air with Anakin and R2 was great in 3D.

    I don't believe the hate towards Jar Jar. Y'all are a bunch of haters but seem to forget that it was Jar Jar that brought the Gungans and Naboo together. He was instrumental in making Qui Gon go back and get refuge with Anakin and his midichlorian conceivin' mother. :eek: He's a broughta tha oosen others blalahrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrb... and became bombard general... and did not get pyunish. Be good wit' him!

    Swoly just admires Jar Jar because his grammar and spelling is so atrocious that even swoly can't keep up. There aren't enough smilies in the 'verse.
