We can talk about trees running over toddlers all day....but when you go and make fun of someone's stuttering problem that he has no control over....that's crossing the line.

Not sure what his attire has to do with it.

When you're dealing with kids and punishment, you need to take emotion out of it. The guy is visibly shaken and upset. He's stooping to her level of maturity in the whole scenario by his responses and actions. It's the same thing as with the judge beating the hell out of his daughter. He has a personal emotional investment in the punishment. That's poor parenting and it's weak.

Why even bother video taping the whole thing? Just take the laptop away, ground her, tell her why in a calm manner, be done with it and move on.

This guy seems to be declaring war on his daughter. This will not end well.

He made a family issue into a viral video. Seems a bit immature to me but hey, I don't have a teenager that pushes my buttons enough to discharge firearms.

It was a joke, Xerobull... the attire one...

I see what you're saying about "calmly" doing that. I see what you did there.

I hope you DON'T wear one... and then YOU will learn a lesson! ;)

The whole thing seems very fake and staged to me....

If it really is real, he's a tool for not keeping family stuff in the family. When my boys are old enough to discipline, I will discipline them, but I won't post it on the internet for the entire world to see....

I think part of his punishment was to embarrass her in front of her friends by posting the video on facebook. It was not out of rage.

I'm going with fake. I'm hoping fake. Because otherwise it's just dumbass.

Girl's rant was standard fare pity me stuff from a 15 yo girl. Teenage angst. If this is what set Papa off, he's going to have a coronary when she's 16/17/18.

Ahh, this is true. I'm going to teach you a lesson about posting crap on your facebook wall...by posting crap on your facebook wall. I would make the girl work in a soup kitchen every weekend for the rest of her time under my roof. Then hit her with a log.

Probably fake. If not, the father is going to regret publicly embarrassing his daughter like that, because she can embarrass him a lot worse.

He should have taken away the computer and if he wanted to shoot it or whatever, I don't really care.

But trying to embarrass his daughter like that is more likely to lead to resentment than a "lesson learned". Even if she deserved it.

Using a gun, really? SMH. Now I kinda see why this girl acted the way she did, following her parents' footsteps.

By age 15 her father had moved out on his own, had two jobs, and went to college. Said so himself. I'm buying every word.

And her rant may have been OK except for the cursing. He was quite clear that all the cursing offended him.

I sat though the whole thing....no way it's real.
