I personally think we are the deepest team in the league, but Clutchfans will always have an argument. Let's hear it! (I've told people this and they've laughed, but I'll reform what I've been saying: I think this team has a shot at winning it all because of depth. I know the schedule slows down by the second round of the playoffs, but because of our depth, I think we have a shot worth mentioning. That being said, there is a long way to go.) spigity -space
Doesn't win you a damn thing if you have no real star. Look at Denver, Portland, Indiana, Philly, Memphis, Utah. All deep but lack the two core guys that can carry a team in tough situations, especially playoffs. When did a team without a real superstar win it all, just with depth and "talented" guys? Yea, right....
Rockets bench reminds me of Sac Kings bench mob then. Bobby Jackson - Goran Dragic Jon Barry - Courtney Lee Hedo Turkoglu - Chase Budinger Corliss Williamson - Patrick Patterson Scott Pollard - Jordan Hill
We've been one of the deepest teams in the league for a minute. We're just in a fluke season which all of a sudden favors depth as opposed to superstardom.
Just out of curiousity... When was the last time all 5 Bench/second unit players scored in double digits in the history of the nba? Because that's exactly what our bench mob did against the Suns last night. Pretty damn impressive considering it wasn't a blow out where the coach usually plugs in his bench due to extended garbage time.
Last time we did it was in 93, it was mentioned on Inside the Nba. Have no idea about the rest of the league though.
Having depth will for sure help with this shortened season. While the condensed schedule makes things tougher, I feel like it is a huge advantage for us and expect us to make the postseason as a result of it.
