Ugh, Martin with a cruddy game again. Hopefully he gets back on track. None of the less, good win by the Rockets.
Good win, great play by bench. Dragon, lee, hill, patterson, and chase have been big these last 2 games picking up the starters. Hopefully they can keep it going for the next stretch.
I would be too. Why would anyone want to make less money elsewhere...especially for a bad team? Houston residents don't have to pay SIT, and the housing market here is good, especially if you don't get suckered into a mortgage with high interest.
Bench has really gotten it together. It's what it should be. Without an All-Star, our starting 5 cannot match up with starters of elite teams. But because of the Front Office's ability to target good but undervalued players, we have a quality 2nd unit that, as we can see, have matched up well with even the starters of POR and PHX. The POR announcers were raving about our bench last night, how they went toe-to-toe with their starters and won.
Can't win a championship playing 1 on 5. He does deserve a ring. A bunch of scrubs such as adam morrison get it for no reason. Someone who has worked so hard his entire career definitely deserves one.
And what's most glaring contrast from last year? We now seem to know how to close games. That's what happens when we play defense and move away from dependence on the Adelman offense. We just run pick and rolls and work with the mismatches created, or we run ISOs because the players have grown confident they can create on their own.
6-3 in the next 9 games is realistic...22-14...not bad at all. As for closing out games...i think we actually are just playing harder, like Mchale preaches...we're not really closing out games one way...it's been different kinds of plays, usually a product of consistent hustle/focus.
