Wow. Don't take me as a LOF. I am glad he does well in NY. Nothing more nothing less. I am only talking as how I see it. This is an open forum afterall, right?
Lin without PT here does not equal the same value......if he was stucked up in the rotation here Adrien was not a guaranteed contract, we would have waived him any day. You can't predict the future. Without Lin, Baron Davis could have played well too, you'll never know.
Baron Davis is not going to be playing well any time soon....we hurt ourselves by releasing Lin, by letting go of a quality player, and helping out someone that we need to struggle. Strike 1, strike 2. DD
Wouldn't you pleased this is a blessing in disguise for Lin, since he's going to get zero playing time no matter what as someone thought?
Sometimes you overvalue a 8-10 pick...... because you think Morey can't fail at all...... but he hasn't proven that he can draft well in the top 10 picks...... I'll take it with a grain of salt
I think it is great for Lin, I am happy for the young man, but the Rockets should have never let him go.....if they knew how to judge talent correctly. DD
Lin rotting on the bench and a higher Knicks pick is better than seeing the pick drop out of the lottery. We are Rockets' fans not Knicks' fans or Lin Only Fans.
Whats to say Flynn would not have done the same exact thing Lin did in teh event we cut Flynn and Kept lin?
I am cautious about the No. 6- No. 12 pick...... in recent drafts.... there are lots of mediocre talents and busts in those years.... and best scenarios are borderline allstars.......these are not KG,Kobe,Tmac days.... filled with talent The real electrifying talent came out of the Highschool, the Lebrons, sad but true.
Playing the "What if" game is silly. Why woudl we be cutting Flynn anyway, it would have been Adrien...and I don't think he can play point. DD
Flynn was a guaranteed contract. They would have waived Adrien, since his contract was non-guaranteed until last week. It would be a total joke, if Adrien was running the PnR for the Knicks with Chandler.
The Rockets have been pretty good at judging talent over the years. Our starting pg was a diamond in the rough situation. Teams are going to make mistakes every now and then but overall Morey has been pretty good at making the right moves. I'm still not convinced Lin can make up for the defensive deficiencies of Melo and Stat. We really should be more patient and judge this based on how the Knicks perform when they start a tough schedule in two weeks that lasts for two months.
Morey's last 8th-10th pick was Rudy Gay. It turned out better than the 13th-14th picks that the Rockets have had for the past 3 years.
Yeah... but you couldn't say Rudy was a big difference maker.... and it took him like 3, 4 years to develop.... He is not all that..... But I would still covet him with that being said.
You must spread some reputation around, before giving it to DaDakota again. DD, me and you have been on the same wavelength lately.
