Thank god the Republicans were seated in 2011, priming the market and getting lots of people off of commie-spiced gubment cheese!

LOL I like this take! I actually did laugh out loud. I just imagine a Fox News analyst saying this when I am reading it.

Hope you didn't spend anything of significance on those inflation protected securities since we have only continued to deflate the inflation expectations.

This is easily the best way to "buy" your way into office and stay there for life! Use only taxpayer money, give it away in as many ways as you can think of, to as many voters as you possibly can. That will literally MAKE them completely dependent on you, and your ilk, and you will get their support forever!

I rarely foray in to this disasterous poo flinging section of our beloved site...

however I must say Big_texx and Esteban + Basso = one hell of a ride...

How anyone can have any conservative ideals without being irreverently corrupt and morally abject is without a doubt the largest philosophical quandary of our day.

In 200 years when they look at the neocons of the USA from 2010-2012, such as Basso, they will question whether or not we were drugging our populace with LSD.

I just thought I would make sure the misdirection was only a temporary amusement...

    Read it and weep.

Before you think bigtexxx, esteban and basso are on some kind of high dollar good stuff, would you care to offer your insight into what King Barry is doing to America or your takes are the same as these not so lovable lefties here?

No matter what I say, you and your hounds will discredit it with fear mongering rhetoric and talking so I would rather no waste my time.

Bottom line however, numbers are up across the board economically, we are paying less taxes than before, we finally have institutionalized regulation of an underregulated and over priced healthcare system, he is shoving his fist up the ass of those Nazi Hiding child abusing inquisitioners over at the Vatican...all while singing better than Al Green.

    STACHE OUT

Looks to me like he's giving the stock market an erection. Once again, I do think esteban is either a Colbert like satire poster or is legitimately crazy. Hey, are democrats still demonic?

Obama's effect on the stock market is unknown at best, and likely negative, based on his constant threats of higher taxes, increased regulation, record setting budget deficits, his attacks on corporate profits generally speaking, and his promotion of union activity. The reason the stock market has gone up over the last three years is the result of the most expansionary monetary policies in history being pursued by the Federal Reserve. What's the stock market look like when benchmarked against the price of gold? That will give you an indication of real value, not nominal value. If you print money over and over again, dollar denominated assets are worth more in dollars. Stunning. Some of the move is also simply reversion to the mean -- the world didn't end like people thought it might in 2008. Obama has nothing to do with these reasons, as I stated above.

yeah, he just sat, and twirled a baton, while Wall Street picked itself up like a mighty vulture from bad CDS bets.

Actually, the poorer debtors gain with inflation; they pay less in real value terms. The "rich" who tend to be the savers and creditors lose. This is probably why the emphasis on the Republican side of the debate tends towards inflation (because the rich don't usually take the time to go all-in on inflation-protected securities like TIPS other than as a hedge, your strategy has basically opportunity costed you ****tons of money in the last few years if they are a significant part of your portfolio), since inflation probably affects the rich the most, rather than unemployment, which tends to affect the poor the most.

    Mechanistically speaking---
