So, how long will you have to go without being pressured before you'll keep your word?

How am I ripping off clutch? A donation pledge isn't something he had counted on. He doesn't have a spread sheet with all the posts from people who say they'll give X amount. It's not like he has an Accounts Receivable spreadsheet wondering where the hell he lost $50.

you agreed to a tip jar bet.

we assumed that you and jo mama made the bet to better the site.

    that's where the money goes.

    You're a b**** - start paying at least a buck a month or accept a ban.

You're right. He depends on donations and his own work to maintain this site.

You made a bet where the loser had to make a donation to the tip jar.

    You lost the bet.

    You refuse to pay.

That's $50 Clutch would have received if you were the type to keep your word.

You did not keep your word.

    Clutch is out $50.

So, how long will you have to go without being pressured before you'll keep your word? A month? Two months? Give me a figure here.

Hard to say. If I am offered a job in 4 months, than I would likely be like ok I can make a donation, but I wouldn't tell any of you because it is none of your business.

Reminds me of that charity list that came out, showing how much everyone has donated from their income. I don't care how much someone donates, and if you offer that information you are just asking for recognition. I don't seek that, I don't care for that, and I won't ask for it.

I don't kiss ass like a lot of the posters on here, desperate for more green tiles. I tell people how it is, how I see things, and what I think. If they don't like it, so be it, I have no problem arguing my position until people get ridiculous and stop using rational argument and start using personal attacks. I don't have a problem with Tracy haters, Lebron lovers, or Kobe f*#@ers, I may disagree with them, but I won't harrass them constantly because they hold a minority view. Accept others for who they are and move on.

Making a bet, losing it, and then refusing to pay (but still, somehow, spending all this time on the BBS) is not the same thing as being a 'Tracy hater.' It's not even on the same continent as being a 'Tracy hater.'

Listen kid, you're trying to make arguments that justify the fact that you made a bet to the tipjar, you lost the bet, and now you're refusing to keep your word. There really is no good argument in favor of that.

    He just doesn't understand this.
the irony is that his handle is 'trueroxfan'

we all know for sure, that the true rox fan here is Clutch for making this site.

    http://clutchfans.net/about.cfm

In the summer of 1996, while working an engineering internship in Boston, MA, I jokingly hacked in to my girlfriend's college internet account, just for the fun of it and to learn a little bit about putting pages on the web.

I never imagined what would come of it.

I created a site under the name "Clutch" (see: Who Is Clutch?) and started writing my thoughts about my top obsession: The Houston Rockets. I called the site "Clutch City '97". I would write goofy features like "Super Mario's World", recap every single game and post articles from news outlets across the country.

Fans came flooding in, the site built up news credibility and the rest is pretty much history. While the site has gone by a variety of names, including "ClutchCity" (See: Why The Name Change?), over the past 7+ years it has not only been your Houston Rockets Fan Information Source, but the best NBA team fan site on the internet. Period.

    My monogram reads trueroxfan
    Not truestroxfan
Not to mention fandom is subjective. Clutch is a bigger Rockets fan than Les? Is Les more than me? You can't prove it either way because there are no numbers to represent my feelings towards this team, nor is there for Clutch, Les or anyone else on this site.

You're just repeating yourselves over and over. Pay the bet, you're a b****, what kind of man...blah blah blah. You are judging my character from an internet forum. Take it for what it's worth, and it isn't worth much.

    You are what you do.

The fact that it's obvious from an internet forum means that it's probably even more obvious outside of it.

    You are what you do.

    Les bought the Rockets.

Clutch has been a fan of the Rockets before Les Alexander.
He made this website so that die hard Rocket fans can gather together.

He's posting videos and threads on every single game. I assume you aren't doing that.

So you know for a fact that Les was not a fan of the Rockets before the purchase? Even if he didn't, is someone a bigger fan just because they have been a fan longer?

Don't know how to cut video or any of that other stuff. Not really worth it to me since I generally record and watch every game. If something was sick, I rewind.

Am I appreciative of what he has created? Of course, but I don't feel the need to prove anything to you or any of your other highbrow narcissistic elitist posters who constantly barage people anytime their formula is met. Treating posters like they're r****ded any time they make a thread in the wrong forum, or didn't notice something already posted. As if these posters emit some kind of putrid smell into your precious clean air. You talk all this sht to people about how you've been here since 99', "i'm 99' n****," as if this makes you some kind of bad ass. Congratulations, you discovered the site before me. I will forever be in debt to you for your stupendous discovery o 99er! Get over yourselves.

i won't stop talking about the 99ers until the world ends.

Even when the world ends, I'll be spreading the story of the 99ers to other universes.
