That's true to a point, especially with proven guys. That's why a nutjob like Gilbert Arenas is still attracting attention. With TWill, though, he hasn't yet proven he can help a team at all -- he's just all potential. I think when GMs are trying to figure out who to park at the very end of the bench, they probably put certified head cases at the end of the list.

The funny thing is that his comments will likely make it more difficult for the Rockets to trade him. There is no reason to think the Rockets aren't open to trading him, but I suspect there isn't a big market for players who haven't proven anything and keep getting in the dog house with their teams and make it worse with their twitter comments.

He probably doesn't want to be traded and would rather be released.

The right thing to do would be to ask for a trade through your agent or work out a buyout. There's no telling if he has already gone that route and failed, but his representatives should coach him better.

(FYI- if a player demands a trade or buyout it usually leaks out and we find out about it. Not through the team PR dept. but through agencies talking to each other about finding him a new home. Thats where the leak starts)

Its not about his trade value, but his contractual value going into unrestricted free agency will be at an all time low.

It's harder for the Rockets to trade him because his value is higher to them than other teams for what they had to give up, ie a 1st pick and trade flexibility.

T Will's pathetic, he's making it really easy to root against him. Hope he gets put in a different uniform soon.

Perhaps, but he is crazy if he thinks the team is going to reward his "efforts" by paying him to be released. More likely if he continues pushing down this path he will earn some fines for conduct detrimental to the team to go with his DNP's.

Now if he was willing to settle for a buy out, perhaps, but getting released or bought out prior to the trade deadline is unlikely, and such a move would be more of a favor than an obligation by the Rockets. He isn't likely to earn any favors with his current behavior, and he may very well get suspended by the team if he decides to use bad behavior to force his way out.

The Clippers enquired about Lee, Rockets were asking for a 1st round pick. If Lee was to go T-Will would take his place...then he could get his opportunity to show & prove.

Courtney Lee, a capable shooting guard and defender from the Houston Rockets with NBA Finals experience.* While he’s a good fit for both the roster and trade exception (Lee makes $2.2 million this year), the Rockets are asking for a first in return after failing to close an extension with Courtney.
I know it was from hoopsworld but this is the rumor floating around.

Ehh the Clippers' 1st rounder isn't all that valuable considering it will be in the mid 20s. Though it is hard for me to see him re-sign with Houston for a backup role when he could get starting nods on other teams. Still wouldn't give him up for a Clipper 1st.

The guy has proven that he can play. I have seen him blow a couple of defensive plays, but then come right back and make up for it.

His bad shooting is a direct result of him not playing. This was shown during his short time in NJ where his shooting percentage increased as his rookie season progressed. The guy just needs to play. He should be playing.

Nate Robinson, T-Will's "WORDAAPP" partner in crime?

    :)

Those splashy, live-in-the-moment types can be seen as more "mercurial" leading to disruption. Though Von Wafer is on a team. Kenyon Martin's on a team, JR Smith will find a team. Its that T-Will hasnt done anything in the league yet why he should shut it up.

But it still might not matter overall. Cuz there are other players on Twitter making ass of themselves a lot too. We pay more attention to it here cuz its a Rockets player. Are we really gonna care about the Tweets of the 12th player on New Orleans? Doubtful

That might explain why the bench sucked tonight.

I'm pretty sure that Lil' Nate is the originator of "WORDAAPP".
