Well, as of now he is behind Dragic on the depth chart. And we all know that in the NBA 3rd stringers aren't too highly coveted, especially after they're well into their 3rd year!!! But, he'd be a viable option if or when Dragic is either traded or should leaves via free agency. However, as of now he's definitely a downgrade from Dragic - and is a huge question mark as a backup. He isn't likely to be too expensive to resign this offseason, and I'd be okay if the Rockets resigned him for a low NBA salary. But if he walked, I don't think too many people would lose to much sleep over the situation. But I don't think they should trade him for the sake of making a trade.
The PHX Suns gave up 2 first round picks to the Sonics in order to get rid of Kurt Thomas. The NY Knicks gave up Jordan Hill (then in his first year), a first round pick and the right to switch picks in order to get rid of Jared Jeffries' salary. The Houston Rockets also gave up a high 2nd round pick to Memphis in order to get rid of Steve Francis. The Rockets traded a 2004 first round pick to Utah in order get rid of Glen Rice's salary. Now quit spouting off on things of which you know nothing.
I don't know why but that one still stings and was the first thing I thought of when I saw that statement. 1) Cougars vs NC State 2) Oilers vs BiLLLLs 3) Rockets trade #1 to Utah to unload Glen Rice.
You are ****ing reaching or trolling Carl. You know damn well that Jeffries had another year remaining in his deal. Keeping any of the 09 "busts" doesn't effect us in any negative way because we could easily dump them for roster spots after the deadline. By keeping them you now have max contract flexibility for next year (Which is the reason why Morey chose not to extent any of them). They are not an albatross we are trying to get rid of, they are just filler for any particularly large trade "IF" it happens.
his hight and weight are fine, he's just as tall and weigh 10 more pounds than cp3 and you see him holding his own on the defensive end just fine, not to compare their abilities at all just there size and yes i agree we should trade goran or flynn before the deadline but flynn will be much cheaper to retain than goran + goran's trade have is much higher right now.
yes. goran's trade value is much higher... because he is a good player. flynn is not. that's like saying, "oh, we should get the '92 kia because it's cheaper than the '08 corolla"
If you would of read my other post you would see my opinion on flynn. Yes flynn in not *considered* a good player *currently* but, i think flynn will develop into a nice player in the future maybe even better than goran. Like you most people thinks its a stretch but again its only my opinion, no need to be an ass and repeat what i said with a *****ty comparison.
Flynn is worse than Dragic overall, but he has great read of the game. His pacing is terrible, but he is the best passer in Rox. And in a teams with more than enough scorer, such as Lakers and Knicks, they will definitely prefer Flynn over Dragic.
Lin and Novak !!!!! JJ is helping too, even if its by taking charges. Thats 3 ex-rockets helping them to sabotage our pick. IRONY!!!!
Flynn has the opportunity to make a legit name for himself right now that Lowry will be out. I do not want Lowry rushing back, unless we are getting far out of the playoffs.
You better want Lowry to rush back.. Dont let that bench explosion yesterday, fool you!!!....Can't afford to lose games we should win because we want Lowry to be 100%...
