In all fairness, Morey did claim the guy off waivers, so he obviously saw potential in him. I guess you could say Lin was a casualty of the blocked Gasol trade, in that we would have freed up those roster spots. Even then, we cut him in favor of Adrien (only other unguaranteed contract?) in spite of the Rockets' typical M.O. of holding onto players based on talent level, not position of need.
Tonight's game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xso2bGDTSjg Tyson Chandler is probably more happy than Lin, tbh.
"when I had him I didn't want him. But now that I don't have him, I want him.And it's funny how it switches like that. But now the forbidden fruit must be tasted. That Lin is just so hot right now!" <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/hoy_en_la_revolucion/4888084470/" title="Daryl Morey- He's just so hot right now by *The last son of krypton*, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4122/4888084470_00c7974daf.jpg" width="500" height="433" alt="Daryl Morey- He's just so hot right now"></a>
Everybody in here could see Lin had potential and Adrien we could've picked up later, nobody was after him anyway. Why do we always look for the most undersized, unknown, ugly, undrafted player instead of seeing actual talent. I don't know whose decision it was, but my guess is Morey decided to sign Adrien and cut Lin.
Hey Jeremy let's stay up late night, have some non alcoholic drinks, watch cartoons Let's party Signed Landry F.
Because we already had 3 PGs. And as you can see in JHill's play, we need big-man insurance. McHale will always favor having more bigs. Lin was the last to be cut from our team because the Rockets saw his potential. In any case, we can be happy for him that he is on a team that badly needs a PG.
I like Lin too but we are Rockets fans. I would never want Kyle injured and I still think if Parsons can get his head together and we can do a trade get a back up big and a wing player we can still compete and get to the playoffs.
