And GlenRice (should change his name to CondelezzaRice) says 'see I told you he wouldn't score 30... I win the bet! Season? No I said game, look it up... Ok, ok... New bet now, if Lin doesn't score 40 in a game this season you have to make thread worshipping me as your god, 200 rep point and I become administrator, ok! Deal... You have 15 minutes' Lol
For all the people highlighting the teams he's faced, let me remind you first, that no one is exclaiming him to be an All Star PG. He's an underdog that has played exceptional relative to expectations and has displayed to be NBA material. Secondly, which is even more important is the fact that the Knicks are w/out their two best players--beating the Jazz, Wizards, and Nets isn't the walk in the park that we think it should be. Hell even with Melo and Amare, the Knicks were losing to these types of teams.
And? Could be coinicdence, could not be. Still doesn't prove anything with such a small smaple size. He looks promising but so have many before him that fizzled out. Still way too early to tell. I'm not sure what's so hard to understand about sample size and scouting. This isn't directed at you, but it seems like people enjoy when people fail (Morey in this case) for the "I told you so." Lin could be a good player, but the circumstances were against him being a Rocket.
No Deal in this case..... because of pure intelligence GR displays with each attempt to bet.... he is foolin himself
And? Doesn't mean anything with such a small smaple size. Could it be the Melo and Amare together are detrimental to team basketball? There's a lot of potential reasons why the Knicks have sucked and are doing better now. Time will tell if Lin does in fact have what it takes to be a starter or even a good PG off the bench.
You didn't get the point. The good PG is the one who makes his teammate better, not the one like John Wall who got 29 a game, but the team is losing.
John Wall makes John Wall look good. Jeremy Lin makes the Knicks look good. Jeremy Lin makes Jeffries, Bill Walker and Novak look good. You are thinking of the scoring efficiency of the wrong player(s), when examining PG playmaking.
Front page ESPN. Guy is making Morey and Golden State look pretty bad. This bodes not well for our draft pick.
It is pretty clear by now that the question is no longer Should we have kept Lin over Flynn? but Should we have kept Lin over Dragic?
You can say that, but had he stayed on this team Lin probably has 0 games played at this point behind Lowry and Dragic. It's bittersweet, but it is what it is.
I'm happy for the guy. I just hate he is doing it for the Knicks. Rooting for his individual success, but the team (Knicks) failure.
I said to someone in this thread he will never be better then Dragic. To whomever i said that, i apologize. This kid is a ge.m. How we gave him away for someone like Flynn or even Gordon is beyond me.
