Your making the assumption that his level of play (last 3 games) will be his average for the whole season. I think the jury is out as to whether this level of play is sustainable. Not to mention that other teams will start scouting the guy closely and adjusting accordingly which hasn't had time to come into play yet.
He is a improvement over their previous PG's, this is true, for now anyway. But looking at how those other PG's were playing, doesnt require much to surpass. Looking good against a team thats 5-20 is no major feat.
Even if teams do put more effort into stopping Lin (had to laugh, smh can't believe it), they won't be able to once Amare and Melo are back on the court.
You're assuming Stoudemire and Carmelo will be messing up Lin's passes and he loses his court vision, after better scouting and Jeffires goes to the bench. It makes complete sense.
This. People need to chill out. To add to that, the competition thus far has been beyond dreadful. Claiming to know how Lin will pan out, is like saying Steve Novak could average close to 20ppg based on his recent play. At this point, it makes just as much sense.
Which by they way, do the Knicks ever play any good teams, man half of the eastern conference teams are brutal smh.
I am extremely happy for Jeremy, but this is a very small sample size. Our own Kyle Lowry had an amazing start to the season too, but his numbers have come back down recently. The thing that sticks out the most is Jeremy being able to do this with Novak, Jeffries, and Tyson.
He looked good against Dwill, Harris and Wall. And Utah is not a bad team. Tell me another 23 year old PG who did so well in his 1st three games with major minutes? Even Lowry couldn't do that.
Blemish on morey's record as far as talent recognition. Im a big morey supporter but keeping adrian over lin was definitely a mistake.
Sigh, I really liked this kid. Too bad he's averaging like 25 and 8 for the Knicks, messing up our draft pick in the process. Meanwhile Flynn, TWill and Thabust have roster spots doing nothing.
This is the Rockets luck LOL. It was either this or the Knicks get the 9th seed and still end up getting a top 5 pick. I knew something was going to happen to mess up the rockets in some way.
Craps! I knew the kid could play. That Flynn expiring contract better be worth something by the trade deadline.
yeah, yeah, no one is claiming he is an all-star at this point, but the kid is a starter PG in this league now while we could have cut another bench warmer and kept him on the cheap. Put things in perspective.
The Jazz are one of the worst perimeter teams in the league. Devin Harris is having an abysmal year. He hasn't looked good at all this year, on either side of the ball. The Nets have Sheldon Williams and Shawne Williams in their starting lineup. Zero post presence and very porous defense. Aside from the occasional highlight block, Wizards might be the worst defensive team ever assembled. I would be surprised if Lin averaged 15ppg on a decent efficiency, and even at that, he would only be mirroring Flynn's rookie year. People need to chill.
