That makes zero sense for Boston and it's from Hoopsworld.

Lakers want a top tier PG bad....but there's no way in hell Ainge makes that trade. He already knows it's time to dump his trio of mid-30s stars...why in the world would he add another frontcourt player clearly declining and making insane money?

    And yes, Hoopsworld =

Would not make any sense for Boston. If they don't want to rebuild with him they would trade him for young guys and picks, not for Gasol. Get Gasol and let him expire or what?
    Sounds like BS.

He's probably trying to flip gasol for something like i posted (martin/scola)..he said recently he's all for trading for younger established talent, as oppose to picks and young potential guys, in order to keep winning.

Interesting question. Looked it up & the only time they did was ....

August of 2004 when the Lakers sent a 2006 1st round pick (Rondo), Rick Fox, and Gary Payton to the Boston Celtics. In exchange, Boston shipped Chucky Atkins, Jumaine Jones, and Chris Mihm across the country to Los Angeles.

We shoulder jump in and do Dragic to celts Scola to Lakers and fillers for Pierce. He's old but still a great player who I'd have faith taking the last shot. But I doubt they move him.

I don't suppose Kupchak is simply venting and quoted the wrong age for CP3?

If Gasol went to Boston for Rondo, the Celtics would have ______ at PG?

Or does Kupchak think he's gonna force/cajole the Rockets to give them Kyle Lowry in a Gasol trade? "See, we can get Rondo, why won't you include Lowry?"

    Here's mine:

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7oflpoo

    Houston
    Paul Pierce

    Boston
    Gasol
    Dragic
    Thabeet
    J.Hill

    L.A.
    Rondo
    Scola

We get Pierce, who is playing really well this season, and his contract is 1 year less that Scola's.

    We have Boston-Lite in:
    Lowry/Martin/Pierce/Patterson/Dalembert

    But we have a bench:
    Flynn
    Lee/TWill
    Parsons/Bud/Morris
    G. Smith

Artest brought toughness, and so will Pierce, dude was SHOT before (or stabbed, was a long time ago). Pierce also brings respect, something that Martin and Scola as the old guys on the court don't have.

BTW Pierce is CLUTCH too, and with Martin on the other wing, you can pick your poison. and 15 as a trade asset as an expiring contract isn't bad either come trade deadline 2013.

Too good of a deal for the Lakers, they'd have to throw something in to make it fair.

Plus even if they weren't building around Rondo why would they throw away their best asset.... to rebuild around Pau???
