Greg Smith better be a good sign cuz i actually like Adrien a lot. He's a hardworker, he brought enery, and he's strong as a bull. I feel bad that last night's game against the nuggets was his last. I swear I can already see him getting 10 and 10 in a game in the near future (in the NBA.)

Well, if it comes down to being hungry, Hill should be smoking a bowl during timeouts, at the half, and maybe in between each quarter just for good measure. That ought to make him real effin' hungry.

The organization really showed how much they value hard work by waiving Adrien.

yeah I need DD to jinx a few things for me.. great thread idea.

'the DD jinx thread' where we get DD to say bad or predict bad things about us like..

'I think LCII doesn't deserve a job. He won't be able to find one
    DD'

and boom you get a job.

As expected, the Rockets waived Jeff Adrien this afternoon. Move was made to make room to sign Greg Smith tomorrow.

I agree. Liked Adrien a lot. If the rumors are true that Smith isn't a high motor guy, that won't bode well when Dalembert and Hill are mailing it in.

Lol don't feel bad about Adrien, its not like he's gonna be jobless once he gets waived he'll probably just exchange places with Smith and play for the RGV. Once the deadline happens I have a hard time believing we won't do an X for 1 player trade, that'll clear roster spots and the FO might bring Adrien back to help with the playoff push.

We haven't seen the last of Adrien. There's nothing stopping us from bringing him back after we trade a few people at the deadline. And we have a million forwards anyway.

You know what might stop it? A team that needs a big guy, like Memphis, picking him off waivers.

Kind of like what happened to that other guy Morey waived: Jeremy Lin.

I like having Smith back with the team. As they said, he was starting to get lots of attention from around the league. Better to snatch him up now than lose him. He too had a pretty good offseason and was a good hustle type also.

Nice reference to his old college teammate. Thabeet, unfortunately, goes on.

Actually the Bay Area didn't want him first .......... that's the spot with the most Chinese population I would guess.. his fan base to be exact.

Smith impressed the heck out of me when I first saw him play. Boatloads of raw talent and he is a big strong kid with baskets for hands. He could become scary good. Kind of everything Thabeet was supposed to be.
