All I know is DM better do SOMETHING with these stupid 09ers contracts by the trade deadline! We've got 4 roster spots tied up with little (JHill, TWill) to no (Flynn, Thabeet) return. I'll give DM the benefit of the doubt... value of pricier expiring contracts blah blah blah... but if they dont turn into SOMETHING by the deadline and we keep losing out on other player with potential...

This. Williams is the only one who was not an ancillary piece to a bigger transaction. Williams is the real "development" gamble, and thus far, a losing one.

I normally don't wish ill of Morey because I value the team and such, but I'm going to have to agree. I know why he chose to give the 09 busts a chance but he has to know when to cut his losses. They're not going to give us much value, on the court or via trade or whatever.

I really liked the Adrien signing when we first made it and watching him yesterday I was stoked. I'm effing pissed that Hill gets minutes at freaking all and this entire situation is just a joke-- I know Morey doesn't have to give a F about what the fans thinks and he's overall done a decent job with picks and the Rockets, but him being so enamored with giving former lotto picks a chance is stupid. They're busts for a reason-- they couldn't make the jump. That happens. It's okay to take a chance on one bust, but to take on so many? WTF.

Thabit, Flynn, or Twill should have gone before him....... trade or no trade

To increase odds of stumbling on Chauncey Billups... rolling multiple dice. Plus they have attractive contracts for clearing cap space and/or trade.

This must be some kind of record, how many castoffs did DM and his staff pick up this year that turned out to be decent players?

    1. Lin
    2. Smith
    3. Adrien
    4. Parsons (low 2nd rounder)
    5. D-Mo (low 1st rounder)

The highs and lows in this industry must be so hard to deal with. Dude played possibly the best game of his career then waived next day.

A select group of 99ers that's for sure.

Am I the only one not sold on Jeremy Linn hype? He's had two good games by way of huge minutes for a offensively inept Knicks team (team offense, not individually). He can't shoot and with a little scouting and game planning for his mediocre ability to penetrate he's going to be a non factor by mid-March. Let's not jump the gun. I don't agree with waiving a guy like Adrien in favor of Hill/Flynn/Thabeet/Williams but I'm not sure any of them is worth making a big fuss about - they're not going to contribute to our team as it's currently constructed.

Na man, everyone is just really happy for Lin but no way he sustains the level of play he has been at, if he does then damn good for him.

I like Adrien's hustle, drive and energy; but, letting Greg Smith go underdeveloped would be the real "Lin" in this situation. This was a good move by the organization.

So are you basing this on his whole career at this point or just those two good games he had??? Like you said Mid-March he will be a non factor so for now get on that Jeremy Lin train while you can...

I agree, the Linn deal is embarrassing. That was so obvious to the casual fan but beyond our crack management team. Same thing, although I think Smith is going to be better in the long run.

Most like the child resulting from the unholy union of Kyle Lowry and Bonzi Wells.

I can't see that photo of Lowry without envisioning alligator clips attached to his ears.
