    Just heard it on NPR that the USSC has ruled the CA same sex marriage ban unconstitutional. Haven't heard details yet.

    we all know that basso loves it when anti-gay legislation is passed, mainly just because it gives him more troll bait to tweak liberals with.

    Not strange. I myself am someone who opposes laws that prohibit gay marriage. I think it is important that people understand exactly what each ruling means when it happens. It's too easy to hear "Court rules it unconstitutional!" and as a fringe observer go "Ok time to move on and not worry about that!"

    If Gay Marriage really is important to you, this shouldn't be an appeasing victory.

    Heck, this is the court that Newt wants to send the Federal Marshall after! :)

    Being against gay marriage is the stupidest stance by republicans, and is why I can't call myself one. Hopefully someday the nation will accept this as a whole, because it's a losing battle to fight it.

    Exactly this.

    They scream "LIMITED GOVERNMENT" and "FREEDOM," yet when it comes to gay marriage, abortion, drugs and many other social issues, they want big brother policing you like crazy. Both parties are terrible though.

    That and they preach follow the constitution yet half the party puts the Bible before the constitution. Major party reform will hopefully happen in my lifetime.
