    Could this have to do with why they are signing Smith? I don't think they would hold a press conference just for that. Maybe there is a trade to open room

    Press release came out about 3 hours ago... it's an announcement they are making with the mayor, so it's not roster-related. It's likely to formally announce the All-Star game being here next year.

    We've known since last summer that Houston would be getting the All-Star Game. This will probably just be the formal announcement.

    It will likely be something similar to what was announced about the Rookie-Sophomore game change (not gonna split the classes anymore).

    My guess is they are gonna announce no more East vs. West and like Clutch said formally announce the ASG will be in H town.

    Maybe something like pick the two teams you want to see play against each other. (ex: Paul, Kobe, Pierce, Bosh, and Howard vs. Rose, Wade, LeBron, Garnett, and Love)
