what is it with Spiderman movies and the leading actress? first kirsten dunst and now emma stone. :barf:
same here and not to mention the original was pretty good. It just seems like wasted time to explain that he gets bit by a spider. And I still don't like the new guys look.
Who is this female that is always saying such suggestive things and why does everyone seem to know her?
Emma Stone is playing Gwen Stacy who's blonde in the comics.... I know I'll watch it but the trailer just does nothing for me, that being said I've never been a huge Spidey fan.
We don't know her. We just know what SHE said. I stand corrected... I should have IMDB'd it. She would have played a better Mary Jane... what with her juvenile/devilish look, I think. Don't you agree?
The trailer was really eh. This reboot doesn't really appeal much to me compared to the first two (Tobey). I still hate the costume.
A few notes: 1. I'll still watch it. I watch basically every "superhero" movie. 2. I like that Garfield is doing the wise-cracking spiderman bit. Tobey McGuire was a good nerd and a horrible spiderman (when they didn't have him doing that ridiculous emo garbage). 3. I AM SO SICK OF SPIDERMAN'S ORIGIN...he was bitten by a spider, uncle ben dies, ya ya we get it! Move on. They could have rebooted the series and involved Gwen without starting all over from square 1. I hope Marvel manages to get the rights back to all their characters. Then you'll start seeing some serious business. See: Avengers. A Marvel Studios X-men movie? Oh yes. [Keep in mind, I ended up really liking First Class; despite disagreeing with some of the incredibly stupid changes they've made].
If you don't like Emma Stone then you probably didn't see "Easy A". It was actually a pretty funny movie; and she kills it. Kirsten Dunst on the other hand has sucked in everything. Since she's a red-head she probably would have made a better looking MaryJane; yeah. As is, she's one of the better (A or B-list) young actresses so I can live with her being blonde. It looks weird to me though.
Trailer looks fine to me. I like Denis Leary slipping in there as Capt Stacey. I do wish Marvel could regain their rights. The best thing they have is their universe of characters. Crossing them over more would be top notch. Get a Punisher vs Daredevil instead of trying to make them work separately.
Oh man, that would be outstanding. Punisher vs Spider-man like his origin. Wow. Edit: Or Punisher's first appearance I should say.
