Hope he can fill up the room of whiteboards with tendencies and package info like Knapp used to do. The Texans' QBs were well-prepared, I hope that continues with the new QB coach.

We'll see, but I'm not encouraged. This is another Kubiak Denver-network hire (upside: knows the system) and Dorrell was a WR coach up until this past year (also HC of UCLA and OC at a few colleges). The two play into one another, but I'm not expecting him to be a top tier QB guru.

I think Schaub probably knows this system well enough and how to prepare by now that we don't need a "top tier" QB coach.

It's not him I'm worried about :( We're always one play away from Leinart or Yates.

Agreed - no concern regarding Schaub. But Yates? I'd like him to have some serious tutoring.

If you're starter gets hurt in the NFL, you're pretty much screwed anyway. We were a slight exception to that rule this year but we can't bank on Yates or Leinart getting us to a Super Bowl. I believe that we can get to a Super Bowl with Schaub and whoever is at QB coach.

Not to mention that Kubiak spends a lot of time with QBs and will undoubtedly have a hand in anything major that Dorell does. No reason at all to be concerned about this IMO.

Agreed. Plus it's not like Schaub doesn't have a good understanding of the system
