Ok small words and bullet points and maybe then you'll understand.

    1. The Rockets are 29th in attendance

2.The rockets have the 26th largest arena in the league.

    3. Im aware that not every team sells out every game.

    4. Are you aware of proportions? IE, if the Rockets half fill the toyota center, and 25 other teams half fill their stadiums..................were going to still rank in the bottom 3rd of the league in attendance.

    5. Hence your point about attendance being low.....................is useless.

You can say its useless but we are below that 26th ranking in our stadium capacity ranking as well.

"A few years" ? ... We had built the whole team around Yao and TMac... this era ended last offseason.

When we signed Artest to make the trio of Yao, TMac and Artest every other team saw us as championship relevant and we were all dreaming of the trophy.

That was completely uncalled for. I have no idea why you called me a bigot without even knowing my race or having a reason. You need to stop posting about other people if you cant take posts to the point it leads you to get so emotional to go out into left field and call someone a bigot.

We were the best team in the NBA that year.

Does this mean you're still a moron? You didn't refute that, so I'm curious.

We were the best team that year before T-Mac(top 5 player the year before) checked out before the season and Yao(top 2 center in the NBA) checked out during the playoffs.

If Morey had traded both players before the season and rebuilt that year, the Rockets would probably have played before empty stadiums and lost their every single fan for the next decade.

Scola is a warrior, proven winner, and consummate professional; I hope he retires a Rocket.

So if a doctor discovers a side-effect free cure for AIDs, but on his way to publish his findings he gets shot in the face by, say, David Stern, who then burns the research, the doctor was a failure?

im wondering why race has anything to do with it....

starting to really wonder the same thing...

    i couldnt agree more...

i think morey is and has been doing a fine job... yes he hasn't done the big splash, yet, but all his moves are logical and often pay off... he seems to be ahead of the curve, like with the trade that was vetoed by dictator stern... and i truly believe this team will look mightily different after the deadline... it will either be a huge splash or alot of medium and minor splashes...

If by finalized you mean having the NBA office sign off on the deal then no.

If by finalized you mean having all 3 teams agree to the deal, tell the media, and send the official papers to the league office for routine approval, something that has been 100% guaranteed for all trades that are legal under the CBA, then it was finalized.

Only if he comes back after about 5 years of playing elsewhere..I think we can "grandfather" him into the rafters one day

It WAS finalized. That's why Stern had to VETO the trade using his NBA commish powerz instead of just saying "No, we don't want to do a deal".

Morey is only "failing" if you have some good reason to believe someone else would be doing better. Some of you act like there are all these superstars just begging to come to Houston, if only we had a different GM willing to do the deal. The problem is I have never heard any reasonable explanation as to why a different GM would have a superstar here in Houston over the past 2 seasons after we lost both of ours to injuries. The Lakers wouldn't be contending 2 years later if they lost both Kobe and Gasol to career ending injuries, nor would the Heat if they lost Lebron and Wade.

Dwight Howard isn't going to move Houston up to the top of his list if we switch GM's. No other GM was going to get Lebron, Wade, Bosh or Carmello here. What superstar do you think a different GM would have aquired for the Rockets, and how do you think they would have pulled that trade off? It's fine to say that the praising of Morey as a genius/god/best GM to walk the earth is overblown. But so is blaming Morey for not getting us a superstar when it is extremely unlikely anyone in the world would have done any better.

It wasn't. Stern veteoed the trade as the owner of the Hornets.
