ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Nuggets 2/6/2012

I remember watching a lot of games on the online feeds when I was in North Carolina, and every team's home announcement was biased to an extent. We have Matt Bullard, the Spurs have Sean Elliot, etc. etc. But no team's announcers were bigger pricks than the Denver cast. I don't know nor care to know their names, but the Denver guys don't just put on rose-colored glasses. They physically taunt, trash, and nearly cuss-out the opposing team. If I was a Denver fan listening to their broadcasts, I would probably already be so accustomed to their style that their comments tonight would just be run-of-the-mill to me. "This team flat out is not good"? That's actually a compliment coming from these guys!

 

They're not tied by Les. They're tied by the fact that there are only about 10 superstar players in this league. If we can't get one or two of them with these current assets, we need to move Scola out, get another pick and young player and expiring, and play for a top 3 lottery pick!

 

Except Les won't let that happen.

Hence the "his hands are tied by Les" thing.

 

did you notice how they were letting the nugs foul us at the end of the game?
its almost like they were trying to give the hometown team a steal to get them back into the game. hmmmm... think they do that?

thank god, the Nuggets totally blew this game, missed 14 freethrows, 3-22 from threes, i was expecting us to take down the wolves and get beaten by the Nuggets, guess it's worked out fine....

 

I was disappointed at the way our young guys played apart from Chase.
I was glad that Luis had a good game.

 

adrien was effective as well.

 

Also Parsons was outstanding on defense, but I suppose defense doesn't count.

 

Was he, I think he was ok, Gallo beat him up pretty good when he was in there...

Four wins in the last twelve road games for the Rockets. This road trip will be a real test for these guys. Seems like Mchale doesn't want anyone to think that their spot is safe. Someone at the end of that bench is hungry and if he gets his chance you'll be cheering.

Fair against Faired. Don't expect this every night out though. The Nuggets were w/o two of their man bigs. But he was a monster out there nonetheless. A more athletic chuck in the making maybe?

 

It does,but one has to play on both ends of the floor.

 

It did at the end of the game when McHale put Parsons in for Scola. I thought that was a brilliant move.

 

...and how come Daly didn't play but several minutes???

me and my buddy snuck into the lower bowl. We were kicked out twice but got back in. Everyone around me was pissed cause I was screaming

 

Great to get the win, but damn! That late flop by Lowry was brutal. The way the camera closeup caught him peeking up at the ref out of the corner of his eye like, "Did he buy it? Yeah!" I almost blushed watching his performance. He deserves an Emmy... or something.

 

I really hate that part of the NBA game, it is soooo cheesy.
