Please when Daniel Galinari blows by you, you are not playing good defense.

5:30 in the first quarter if you want to look.

He played great offense.....it is good to see his confidence back.

Lowry is a very good defender, one of the better defenders at the pg position.

    He shut down Lawson tonight

Actually I would argue the opposite. His defense was fantastic tonight, and I thought his offense needs more work still. Yeah he's got his FG% back up, but that's because he's once again shied away from the higher difficulty of degree shots that he was making earlier this year.

In the same way that Parsons avoids threes, now Lowry avoids trying to actually finish his drives in the paint because he's either afraid of making tough layups or getting no-calls from the refs. The problem that led to, though, was that teams all of a sudden laid off of him when he drove and were looking for the passing lanes, and this led to quite a few turnovers. Sure, Lowry is slow, but he's going to have to keep defenses honest by hitting some of his shots in the paint or we're going to continue to struggle running our sets.

Just my .02. Lowry's still a top-5 PG in my book (he clearly outplayed Lawson tonight, and Lawson's in the 6-10 range) for his defense, his passing, and his heart. But he's going to have to continue working on his array of moves to get decent percentage shots in the paint to make up for his slowness (yes DD I agree he is slower than Brooks as if that needed pointing out lol).

Kyle Lowry is going to be the next Chauncey Billups. Look at the numbers. We have an allstar in Houston. Guy Just needs playoff exposure.

I don't get the lawson hype. He's good, but NOWHERE near top 5. He's a very good finisher though which is what klow needs to learn

I think Lowry right now *might* be top 10, but that is debatable.

    Better PGs:

    Chris Paul
    Derrick Rose
    Russell Westbrook
    Deron Williams
    Tony Parker
    Rajon Rondo
    Steve Nash

    Arguably Better:

    Kyrie Irving
    Ty Lawson
    Ricky Rubio
    Brandon Jennings
    John Wall
    Mike Conley
    Andre Miller

Lowry can be an above average starting PG for many years. I think he needs to develop more "skill moves" on offense (in particular, a good in-between game) if he wants to be in the top 6 conversation going forward.
