Best trailer yet. I don't care what anyone says this looks...epic. <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QM5WuOwpodo?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QM5WuOwpodo?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Yes. He was introduced briefly in "Thor", a sentry/archer on a high platform, guarding the area built around Thor's hammer that the gov't had found. Wow....writing it down, what a nerd I am. And seeing that trailer, too. Looks good. Reminds me when Bobcat Goldthwait joked about seeing the "Star Wars Special Edition" back in 1997 (I believe?). All the guys in the audience yelling, "Fake! Fake!" at the computerized Jabba the Hutt. "Yeah, guys, Jabba's fake, he's not like Chewbacca, who's real! Have any of you guys ever seen a vagina? Could you pick out a vagina in a police lineup?"
Could be good, could be awful...but I'm keeping faith in the pairing of Joss Whedon and Robert Downey - the back and forth dialogue should be A+ "I have an army...." "We have a Hulk."
Honestly, I don't think there's much chance in it not being awesome. Call me a fanboy or whatever. To me it seems very obvious they're intentionally not showing a lot of stuff in the trailers (that is such a refreshing change; I can name about 10 movies that blatantly show the endings in their trailers). All of the interviews I've read from Whedon show that he's really close to this project, and has essentially been wanting to do it since he was a kid. With that said, I don't view this movie like other movies: I would love for it to have an awesome plot, and character development along side the action. I've been waiting for a movie like this since I was a child. I want to see some stuff get blown the f up and ridiculous action. If people critically don't like it; whatever....go watch the piano.
The delivery of the dialogue will be as good as it can get, but the dialogue itself will be key (and this is why I fear the movie's quality.) We'll see!
Not bad. Still don't like Hawkeye, Thor and Loki in this. Pretty disappointed with Captain America uniform. Really like that they went with the Ang Lee like Hulk instead of that POS The Incredible Hulk version from Norton/Leterrier. Still think Wedon is totally wrong for this epic superheroes movie.
Yea, sorry. I was not reading very carefully. I thought you meant the bad-guy actor, but that's Richard Grant (I think), who is pretty amazing in his own right.
I thought Ang Lee's movie was crap. Characters moping around all movie until the end, when it was too late to save the film.
Only crap for people who doesn't understand the theme and the complexity of the Hulk story telling. The Incredible Hulk on the other hand were made for simple minded preteen boys.
Sort of. He can leap incredible distances in the comics which is what you are seeing in the trailer I think. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powers_and_abilities_of_the_Hulk#Powers.2C_appearance.2C_and_abilities
Actually both movies were good in their own right. Both did a good job of tapping into the emotional core of the characters. Don't know what you mean by Ang Lee Hulk... Eric Bana was in the Ang Lee version, Marc Ruffalo is playing him this time. That kinda frustrates me cause we get yet another cast change for that character. As for Whedon...knowing he's attached gives me hope. He can do epic...see Serenity. Otherwise I'm only lukewarm to this so far....I've soured a bit on comic movies. Iron Man 2, X Men 3 and Spidey 3 sucked. Green Lantern looked unwatchable. I'll watch Thor and Captain America at some point but neither piqued my interest all that much. And First Class was disappointingly average. The only franchise that is hitting it out of the park right now for me is Batman.
