They have an ass named Kevin Love. Rubio is somewhat of a non-factor with Lowry. They would win, no doubt in my mind... It wouldn't be rape without Love...

Wouldn't it depend on how hard Kevin Love kicks Scola in the face. I mean Luis would REALLY start running hard, hustling, and getting stops then. As you pointed out earlier, just kick luis in the face and that gets him going! He won't fight back but he'll PLAY HARDER! (shouldn't he be playing hard anyway?)

    BTW,

    Wolves in 5.

When adelman left, I said the difference between the rockets and say wolves, gsw and teams like that was adelman. Yes, he's that good of a coach regardless of his shortcomings. He can get any sorry team to .500, look at the 98 kings.Wolves will be a 50 win team next yr battling ok city for that division.

Considering he'd get suspended for probably multiple games, yes it could depend on that as well.

Wow the Wolves are so much better than us, I mean they have Love, Rubio and Rick the ruler! OTH we have Mcfail and a lottery bound team.

Yup, the Wolves are definitely on track to make the playoffs and have passed us by. They must really have an amazing record, so much better than us...

    Wolves: 12-12
    Rockets: 13-11

Man the posters here are such flip-floppers. Wasn't it only a month ago everyone was saying the Wolves just suck, and that even Adelman can't coach them into respectability, and that it was only normal for us to beat such a poor team etc. etc. etc.? Now all of a sudden the Wolves have passed us by and will be in WCF next year?

First of all, they only have 3 (sometimes 4) decent guys on that squad, the rest are about on par with Johnny Flynn and Thabeet. Secondly, Lowry and Scola are in major slumps right now. Monster game or not, we would own the wolves if only these 2 aren't shooting bricks game after game. The game that we won, Love erupted with a ridiculous statline, yet we still won because we contained all the other guys and our own guys went off as well. Unless the Rockets end up going into tank mode during the deadline I guarantee the Rox will end up with a better record than the Wolves. We simply are the superior team.

Are you just choosing to ignore that the Wolves are a young team that keeps getting better as the season progresses? They are 8-5 since Rubio has moved into the starting lineup.

    2-0 against the Mavs
    2-0 against the Spurs
    1-0 against the Clips
    2-1 against us

They have played much better against the better teams in the west than we have and have more quality wins than we do. They are 9-5 against the West and we are 8-10 against the West. They have an all star player in Love and probably a future one in Rubio and we have none. To say we are simply the superior team is ridiculous looking at the facts.

With the teams as they are now, I would go with the Rockets in 7. As someone mentioned, Rubio is a 7 year pro. However, he's a NBA rookie who hasn't experienced a NBA post season yet. Also, I doubt that Martin goes 1 for 10 again.

Martin went 9-15 with 29 pts in the first game we played against them last week and we lost by even more.

Would be more appropriate to answer this after the trade deadline.

The team coached by Adelman would beat the team coached by Machale.

I made the same statement about two weeks ago .... before they beat the Rockets twice.

They have a solid team , just lacking that final piece to make them a true contender.

Four good bigs in Love , Pekovick , Anthony Randolph and Darko.

An above average SF (when he isnt stoned) in Beasley. The guy is a matchup problem for most teams.

Three very good point guards .... one with a ring , all with a wealth of experience. (I consider Ridnour a PG).

They are missing one thing - Size at the SG spot when Ridnour is on the court - but damn he is such a good shooter - But they have a couple guy's on the bench who can supply that size tho without the offensive game of Ridnour.

I think they are a better overall team than the Rockets and the two wins along with the T-wolves performance Vs common opponents confirms that for me.
I think they finish the season a game or two better , whether thats good enough to make the post season is questionable because there are just so many good teams in the West.

I know the Rockets have been as high as the 3 seed in the west recently , but they have gone thru a very soft part in the schedule and took advantage of many of those opportunities.
They have yet to play Dallas , Denver , Memphis or Utah , have only one game each against the Lakers , Clippers and Portland.

Twelve of the next fifteen games are against teams either in or no more than 1.5 games out of the playoffs if the season were to end today. Of those games - Only Goldenstate , Pheonix and Toronto have sub .500 records.

We will find out in the next 15 games what this team is made of - if they will be fighting for a playoff spot or if they fall into the lottery. They could be too far out by the time this stretch is over to make up enough ground.

    @ Denver
    @ Portland
    @ Pheonix
    @ Goldenstate
    Vs Memphis
    Vs OKC
    Vs Minnesota
    Vs Utah
    Vs Memphis
    Vs Philly
    Vs Toronto
    @ Utah
    Vs Denver
    Vs LA Clippers
    Vs Boston

Of that list - what games to you expect the Rockets to win ?
