Saw a couple of blogs and recaps, the Scola incident wasn't even mentioned.

You're utterly full of ****. It's crystal clear in the video that Love committed a near flagrant foul on Scola by flinging him to the ground. THEN to add injury to insult he deliberately stepped on Scola's face. You can clearly see Love angle his head down towards Scola. He knew he was there and he knew what he was doing.

The only tough guy on the rockets is lowry. All the rest are a bunch of p.....s! If scola didn't like what love did, do something. He's guarding love right? How about a hard foul next time down? I guess that's asking too much just like with the fisher play in the playoffs? That would never happen to the moses or hakeem led rockets.

Has to be my favorite. especially since the video with the article clearly shows nothing of Scola's near his legs until the stomp occurs.

Maybe the toughest guy this world has ever seen.

Scola has great character and his toughness is unprecedented.

If nothing else, this thread shows the lack of maturity from most of our posters on Clutchfans. A total misnomer of what it means to be "tough"...

This is beyond dumb and has nothing to do with hoops. Whether you watch or ever played basketball, there is a point where you have to defend yourself or a teammate. When other teams see you as soft, they're going to do things they wouldn't do against another team or player. For years the rox have been known as a soft team. Now we have the upstart team in the t-wolves not only beaing them, but just punking them and showing no respect. Love stepping on scola and no one including scola does anything about it. I bet if that was lowry, it would've have went down like that.

Very reasonable post. I can see that you seek a higher intellectual calling than the rest of us, certainly.
That said, it seems unreasonable to define "toughness" with "giving someone a hard foul in return". "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."

Who is tougher? Shane Battier or Ron Artest?

I put forth that the FAR tougher player is Shane Battier, who would NEVER retaliate to such low class and sportsmanship. Be the better, tougher man and compete harder, legally and with class.

    Shane proceeds to do this...

Frankly, many of our fans don't deserve Scola, who is the epitome of toughness and class.

This thread has gone out of control. We lost to Minny. The fact that we lost the Minny series prolly has Scola way more pissed off then getting his face stomped on.

Throwing punches when you're mad= Immaturity

Maintaining your composure and kicking ass on the court= Toughness

Hakeem learned this later in his career. You know, the part when he was winning rings...

Since when did the guy that gets upset and physically retaliate win anything in life? Life is about being the bigger man, being mature, and doing things with class and professionalism. Hoops or not leebegiez, people need to conduct themselves with class. Scola did, and Love didn't, its that simple. The guy that throws the punch is often times not the toughest guy in the room, it's the guy that could have thrown the punch, but choose not to. Hopefully you will learn that in life as you mature. Anger and the urge to retaliate are not the best qualities in a person, if you need an example, check your bro, Kyle Lowry. Last time I checked, being sued isn't something to be "proud" of. Mental composure is key in sports. How many fights have you seen Tim Duncan get in? Last time I checked, hes a champion in most people's book...Why is Kyle Lowry faltering now? Its because he is too driven and bent on anger, you can use anger to create a chip on your shoulder, but you can also use it to create your downfall. It happened to Brooks, lets hope its doesn't happen to Lowry. But to get back to Scola, the guy is all class, if you want to check for toughness in a guy, check his postgame interview, "Nor do I care if he did it intentionally..." lets all move on like Scola...

Sermonitus at it's finest.. These parables and cliches' is the reason why bullying is so common.... Stand up and fight, or at least act like you wanna do something........ next time K.Love might give Scola ,a Clothesline from Hell.. This type of thinking only can hurt Scola... I would have came back and fouled the hell outta Love....Put him on his azz

Scola's face getting stomped has gotten the Rockets on more TV than all of last year.
