Please. I have spent much time in SA as a white person, and no, white people do not need to tread carefully. Whites in South Africa are still by far the wealthiest class, they send their children, on average, to much better schools, live in much nicer neighborhoods, and have easier access to nice jobs. You only need to visit a township (read: ghetto) outside of Johannesburg, then drive ten minutes to a plush suburb, and tell me what skin color you see in each respective neighborhood.
Have you spent much time there? Do you mean that white people in SA are in constant fear for their lives since apartheid ended? Does that mean that SA would have been better off if it kept apartheid going?
Boy you really like reading too much into what I said. Yes, I have spent a fair amount of time in SA for work. Violence is a serious, serious issue. I didn't say anything about keeping apartheid going. I was against apartheid and still am.
