The biggest issue I am having with my Nexus is that literally 90% of my friends have iPhones and group message eachother. It is terribly annoying to get these messages in separate threads and not knowing the exact order of these texts, etc. I heard of an app called Verizon Messaging that allowed for group messaging to work with whatever iPhones sent. BUT this app isn't offered on the Nexus (hooray...) Any ideas? Also, a few times a day I get texts that must be "downloaded". Does this have to do with my Juice Defender settings? Thanks!
You should use What'sApp It offers group messaging between me and my friends that use iOS, Android, WP7, and even Blackberry The only time I get messages that need to be downloaded, are when I'm receiving huge picture messages. I wouldn't really use Juice Defender on LTE phones, but that's just my personal opinion.
You can, but I'd hold over until it officially comes out unless you don't want to root. Multiple forum posters are reporting that there is improved performance , rotation switching is about 25% faster, there is a new radio for signal purposes (cdma only no lte radio), and a new boot loader . When I cracked open the update I saw some interesting changes regarding NFC.
Yeah that was one of the biggest reasons why I rooted and unlocked. Most roms on 4.0.3 have this fixed but I'm glad it's going to be officially fixed.
So where have we met? Your name and face definitely don't ring a bell. As for my sensation, I'm being sincere lol. That mf randomly restarts and takes a screenshot whenever I press the home button. It's bunk
NFC tags are pretty sweet huh? I use them everywhere now. Even have them in my car lol The changes I saw are slight framework changes, and google seemed to change a signature key or something. My guess is that MAYBE, just MAYBE official Google Wallet support is coming. However, I saw another very slight change that I think fixes how some phones running stock could not overwrite tags that were not pre-formatted
THAT's what I wanted to hear. Seems like such an important function to leave out of the first revision of the device. Yeah, NFC tags are something else. I've got 'em everywhere now. One in my car, one on my desk at work, one on the bedstand at home. Heck, I even put one on the bathroom counter to pair with my Bluetooth speakers.
After years of speculation. Google Chrome for Android is finally here (Android 4.0 only) https://market.android.com/details?id=com.android.chrome
