A failed trade is the same thing as it not going trough. A failed signing of Bosh, trade for Amare, Carmelo, failures to get Nene are all failures if you dont end up with them. There is no changing that logic unless we got lucky like other teams. It is still a failure bad luck or not.
Ok. I agree with that. A longer leash for bad luck. It is frustrating to see over and over after a period of a few years without that big splash or hope coming to town.
What you conveniently fail to mention is it was bad trade for us. Even if the trade went through we'd still a below level talent team. Morey's among the worst GM's at this point
Its not bad luck. But whether it was incompetence or a sensible move depends on what went on behind the scenes.
It is just not him. The whole team needs to attack the rim for rebounds and play tougher each night not just do it when the other team stomps on a team mates face.
They've been irrelevant for a year or so before Garnett left, it's been what? 12-14 years since the Rockets have been.
When was the last time the Rockets were relevant? No, our lone second round playoff series didn't make us relevant.
Scola is just playing poorly and is still arguably our best player. Knee Jerk reaction to Kevin Love being damn good. Seriously? I actually do agree that Morey is a terrible GM. If he really wanted to progress the team and trade these players that he thinks are on the decline, trade them to teams that are looking to make the playoff push and stash draft picks
I suggested Morey should move Scola after the WC and was threatened with having my balls cut off........LOL Seriously, Les has the ultimate say here. And I doubt that Morey had the go ahead then to even consider it. Not selling high on Battier and Scola isn't on DM the GM.
Posters here were saying Parker and Manu were done after their injuries and had a down year. Today Parker is still in his prime and Ginobili was arguably playing like the best player in the NBA before he landed on someone's foot.
This is being discussed, poorly, in several threads. Someone with as many posts a you have should know better.
And still wrong for the same reason. Scola is just slumping like he does every year around this time. It starts around Christmas and lasts about a month. This treat it loss awful because the season started on Christmas. Essentially, the whole season has been in his slump. He'll get over it and his critics need to add well.
This is a pattern for all teams. You can't just go around dumping players right before they decline. Other teams aren't stupid.
