I am just saying if you are going to take the risk of being a theif, then one of the risks is that you get killed because of it.

The world needs less people that are willing to take that risk, so if my view is extreme to you....ok.....great.

Or were you speaking in generalities and there is a 'degree of thievery' in your mind that deserves death.

 

Don't feel any particular sympathy for the would-be robber, but if it were me who killed the guy, it's not something I could have a clean conscience over. Maybe it's because I did martial arts for about 10 years, which always stressed the importance of using as much restraint as reasonably possible in situations of self-defense.

That said, we don't know exactly what happened. But I don't think one has to feel bad for the person who died to think that it's possible the wrestler dude could have handled the situation better.

 

In this case, I have no sympathy for the guy who died, he knew the possible outcomes when he decided to try to steal that phone.

Let him hash it out with God now, right?

Exactly what I wrote. He took the risk one of the risks was possible death.

He died, the world is a better place.

Thread needs more wrestlers tapping out criminals. Most people who defend criminals live in the suburbs in complete saftey, are very innocent and have never been robbed or attacked - which happens very frequently in certain neighboorhoods and it doesn't even get in the news! Some people don't roll over and show their stomach - some people fight back. Sorry that's just the way it goes. Being a criminal is inherently risky so don't feel bad for them when they rob a wrestler and not the old or weak like they usually do.

 

Yep, and don't be upset if we don't cry over his death, or even think charges are necessary.

This to me isn't so much over the phone as it was the thief putting the wrestler's friend in a headlock. He wasn't killed for stealing the phone, he died after attacking the phone's owner.

 

If the robber didnt have a weapon then killing him over a cellphone is too extreme and the guy should do time imo but i dont know all the fact of the case, maybe he had a knife, who knows.

they should just beat his ass...its two of them and if he's dumb enough to get locked into a headlock, he's dumb enough to get his ass whipped by two people.

 

It doesn't say that anywhere in the story. It says he took the phone and tried to run. That's hardly life threatening.
