Yeah, lets Scola punch Kevin Love and get suspended 20 games, thats what we really need. Artest went to punch a fan who threw a glass with water, and got suspended for a year, and have the label as dirty. Did you like that?
So the Rockets played hard in that playoff game and won? Or did they save it for tonight by playing harder and winning?
Not winning = cowering? They were already down double digits in the second half (on the road) when both incidents happened. Just because they didn't win, that doesn't mean they "cowered". Their defense picked up against Minnesota in the second half after that play. The offense just wasn't good enough to make up the deficit.
we'll have to disagree on this one my friend. I don't like the way they handled it, that can be chalked up to several reasons. You and a lot of others thinks differently.
so if Scola kept quiet, why he got a technical foul? because he was angry, and kept talking to the officials about it.
Scola should have atleast went at love as though he was regardless if he would have gotten a technical just to let Love know he's not a push over, class goes out the window if someone intentionally steps on your face...you don't let someone disrespect you like that's soft in my opinion.
was kobe bryant soft here, because he didnt want it to discuss with artest? artest went to talk to him, and kobe stepped away, not wanting to do anything. ron artest got elbowed by kobe, so artest when to talk to kobe's face and he got ejected. thats what you wanted to happen to scola? you can see no hitting from artest, just went to confront kobe, and got ejected. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/juyF3zso75k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Not to mention, if u retaliate, then players play that angle and try to get you rattled into doin something stupid... that's what RonRon does...hell, Rodman made a whole career out of it....
http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterocke...ig-feet-wont-fly-suspension-should-be-coming/ [rquoter] Scola was angrier with the non call on the fall than the foot stomp. Love later made his way to the Rockets locker room to apologize. “What I think was a foul the ref didn’t call,” said Scola, who received a technical foul after one called on the Rockets bench. “Then I didn’t know what happened. I was on the floor. I know he stepped on me. I couldn’t see why. “I have no way to know (if it was intentional). Nor do I care. I’m more angry about the foul they didn’t call before. I thought it was a clear foul. The other, I just don’t know what happened.” The Rockets, however, did finally play with the intensity that has been so inconsistent. “I think it riled us up,” guard Kyle Lowry said. “The bench, everybody got into the game even more. That play really set a spark we need to play with at all times. We need to do it the first half also, not because of a play that happened, with a guy getting his head stepped on.” Either that, or they just have to arrange for someone to accidentally stomp on someone’s face much earlier in every game. They would be better served to have the intensity without it.[/rquoter]
Were you going to keep pining for attention there sweetheart or bring something useful to the thread? You embarrass yourself, please stop.
My apologies I didn't know I was replying to a 12 year internet hardass. I better watch out, I bet he knows all the internet insults.
Pffft, Scola all SAWF.... Mayn, he needa hit dat fool BACK HAAWRD! lols Myself in those situations where its "taking the high road" instead of retaliating viciously... I actually think now at times it is right to HIT BACK. AT TIMES, not all. Because people now are too STUPID to even realize how your "benevolence" is a good trait. All they see is "HE'S AS PUSHOVER", they sense it and they keep piling on. Not ALL the time but AT times you really SHOULD bark back at them to SHUT that treatment DOWN. Players actually DO HIT BACK THROUGH the flow of the game. (Scola actually did give Love a light shove on the back in an ensuing possession). Though I wouldnt have blamed him or any Rockets player one bit for getting in Love's face.
This is a stupid thread, first people say Scola isn't tough and now that Lowry isn't tough. Do you watch much basketball, do you ever watch whats going on on the court or only where the ball is?
