We have salary-cap-efficient assets on our roster - no enforcers. PPat may be the closest. But damn, I long for the days of a Charles Oakley, Rick Mahorn, etc. Hell, I'd take Kenyon Martin. Oh well ... nut up I guess. I used to like Kevin Love, but that was just crappy.

And for God's sake Scola, quit flopping already. The less time you spend on the floor, the better the odds you won't get stomped on whether you're intentionally fouled or not.

Hope you're right. This one just got my blood boiling. I'm already frustrated with the Rockets doing basically nothing to break out of this .500 mold and watching Kevin Love of the Minnesota freakin' Timberwolves stomp on one of our players without retaliation just pissed me off.

In this condensed season, make it a week please. The NBA isn't the NFL, and that is considered a dirty move even in the NFL.

I don't condone dirty plays, let alone an intentional dirty play.

And again, this shows how "soft" our players are. Kevin martin could have contributed to that game by just backing up his teammate rather than building a brick house.

Thing is all our players were at the other end of the court. It was a fast break so everyone was running when it happened. If it had happened when Dally was around I'm pretty sure he would have stood up for Scola. It would have been unwise for the players on the bench to run in and start Auburn Hills pt. 2

Team is soft. Somebody should have at least confronted Love.

I think the Rockets were more interested in playing harder to cut the deficit (which they did) rather than giving away free points to show how "tough" they are.

I just can't believe the ref didn't see this BS. There is one ref in the back when the stomp occurs and he just does make the call. The Rockets need to get some pay back when the TWolves come to H-Town February 17th.

I was missing Kevin Willis right about then. Or Calvin Murphy.

Makes sense, but you could also argue that the loss of a point on a technical is minor compared to the need to send a message back.

Steve Francis forearm-shiver-to-Stoudemire move would have been nice right about there.

Good point but the team needs to push back to make it known that the type of play can not be done to their team mates. If this was done to one of 93-94 Rockets you would know not to do it again.

I wish we had Mad Max or Artest to deal with stuff like that. I would've run down court and slugged Love in the face if I was in Scola's shoes. But Scola is a man he's not gonna stoop low just because someone else does. It's just his personality. Dude is 6'9" and could probably kick all of our asses if he wanted to.

True. So true. I remember the old Akeem used to slap a guy for trying to get the rebound from him too aggressively.

Or Bob Sura. Or Otis Thorpe. Or Mad Max. Hell, or TMAC.

Maybe. But during a season, you're traveling and hanging around your teammates day in and day out; they're like your 2nd family. You're saying giving up a point or 2 is big compared to having a your brother's back? Especially after he was stomped on in the face INTENTIONALLY. Look, get your bench guys out there who don't play much and retaliate. Do something. I've seen retaliations over something minor as a push on a fastbreak. This is one of the most despicable acts I've seen on the basketball court. And again, it was intentional.
