What do you mean fantasy? The trade was a done deal, it was all over the news. In fact that's the reason why the Cavs owner published that letter complaining about being the Washington whatevers to the Globe Trotters.

You're the one living in fantasy, acting like nothing of the sort happened and Morey was just sitting in some chair watching the clouds roll by as the lockout ended. If results are all you care about why don't you become a Laker fan? They have the most rings in the history of the NBA. You can then post all your BS on Lakerland.

Don't be a fan of a non-glamour team like the Rockets and then b**** and moan about how Superstars don't want to come here or how Morey has failed again and again without considering facts or the reality of the situation. Look at the way things played out and then say DM did was wrong before you complain about how he's not getting it done. Its annoying.

Your completely right here, and the front office most likely thinks the same way as you do. They are probably dissapointed that someone like Patterson or Hill hasnt put forth half of the effort that Scola has to beat him out for minutes.

If anything, this is a reality check for guys like Hill that just haven't worked hard enough to beat out a guy like Scola who has the athletic ability of my teenage sister.

Its frustrating for all parties, even the front office.

This team was built around Yao and now they are going through a transition. I would prefer for them to tank but Morey has no control over that, Les does.

Another Morey fan being irrational towards someone else saying the GM is not doing his job. When it is completely provable so far.

Here is a suggestion. In between sips of your 40 ounce? Slow down and get your composure together and form a thought on why I am wrong. Then comment.

I dont understand why you dont just buy the team and trade Scola if you feel so strongly about it

This is just history repeating it self...

This season as like the last strike-cut season is going to be hard on all the OLDER Veterans.. Not just Scola..

Thats just stupid talk. We all know it. Stop patronizing me and talk real talk on why the Rockets are 500 for 3 years. I wont be the one fired anyways if it doesnt change. You can bet more people will think like me. You can bet 29th in attendance has caught Les Alexanders eye. I dont have to do anything but allow Les to do his own thing if it continues.

The front office is trying to do the same thing that other teams that do "tank" set out to do. The problem for them is they have drafted too good of role players to suck. You obviously cant tell the players and coach to kick the ball out of bounds and loose games. The only thing you can blame them for is drafting too well outside the top 10.

However, (glass half full moment) the Rockets have Montiejunas, and Marcus Morris waiting in the wings here in the future, and March 15th will be here before we know it. Montiejunas and Morris are two players who if they were drafted this upcoming year would be top 10 picks.

I know everyone wants to piss on Morey, but there isnt much to complain about other than drafting too well in the 2nd round. Understand he cant move Scola until the time is right, and he cant ask the players and coaches to punt the ball out of bounds.

Morey's been shopping Scola for a while. I just don't think he had much trade value -- he brought more to the team than what they would have received in return for him.

It got out cuz the deal was done already. The "leak" was basically the initial press release that happens before full articles are published by guys like Adrian Wojrowski.

That why everyone calls it a VETO, the deal was agreed upon by all parties and Stern VETOED it. If it wasn't done yet there was no need to veto, Stern can just say no. Suppose Morey called OKC and offered C-bud for DUrant, would the OKC GM need to issue a press release stating he vetoed the C-bud for Durant deal?

Made the same mistake with Kevin Martin...2 points on 1/10 shooting? We couldn't even swap him for T-mac + expirings at this point.

I think all teams around the league realized this and have been probably giving lowball offers for him.

Would Scola for a 2nd round pick been good? I dont think so

I doubt many people will think like you and blame Morey for no reason whatsoever. Look at how many posters in the BBS are disagreeing with you, all you really have to do is remember that Yao Ming only retired before this season, and Tmac was only traded 2 seasons ago. Both those guys were here before DM took the job, and he managed to get a king's ransom for one dude considering his value and the other dude was untradeable for many reasons.

I doubt Alexander will fire Morey, he's a pretty smart dude.
