I don't blame Stern, he got a better deal for a franchise that he is trying to get someone to buy. I do wish that the trade never got out......though. DD
Nice. Time to attack a person pointing out the teams flaws after a loss. No reason into your posts. Just personal attacks. Stay classy. Time for me to take a break off this thread from the irrational guys who enjoy 500 basketball year after year. You go! rational 500 guys.
That is why I blame Stern, that trade should not got as far as it did. He did the right thing for NO but it was not handled properly.
Seems as though the BBS agrees with me. GM didn't fail. The GM made the trade and it was vetoed by the NBA. You're wrong, and you keep harping on it. Therefore, we all rightfully believe you're trolling.
I just defended Scola in the other thread and asked for Love to be suspended on ESPN. Check yourself on those troll comments next time. Get emotionally correct as a fan and then comment what would be good for team. Yes you have to consider maybe the guys at top are not making the best moves is our future is not as bright as the Twolves.
They keep believe you all you want because these are insane Morey fans and not Clutchfans whole thoughts. There are more like you ready to comment than like me. Morey crazy fans who do stuff like that.
That is the problem with this Rockets team because in the past, Yao can hold the D, now Dalembert can, but he can't do much on the offensive end. We held Flynn too damn long, should of gave a spot to Lin.
By the way? More fans believe me. Check your 29th in attendance record and see my comment. Those people missing agree something needs to change.
He didn't try the deal was done. What else was Morey supposed to do? Should he have expected that Stern will do something UNPRECEDENTED and veto a trade after it had already been made and all parties already agreed to it? And after the NBA had issued a press release stating that the Hornets FO would have "complete autonomy" in making roster decisions? This whole thread is stupid. How did Morey hold on to Scola for "too long" when he was actually traded before season started? Actually now that I think about it YOU'RE the reason why the Rockets suck so bad. Why don't you become a billionaire and buy the Rockets yourself? I don't wanna hear any excuses relating to facts or reality, why don't you just DO it?
its not just scola. i started a thread at the end of the 09 playoff run that he should maximize battier's value right then, instead he got nothing. yao's situation is little more complicated
Scola plays hard and he's one of the best competitors I've ever seen so I have a ton of respect for him. He's still very good in transition and a very good catch-and-shoot player too. However, his ineffectiveness in the post or any time he has to put the ball on the floor has really been painful to watch.
That still has nothing to do with Scola being held on for too long, which is what this thread is about.
You are just talking fantasy now. It didnt happen. Morey failed again. One of many other Morey failures to get free agents, players, and deals done now. I dont make excuses for people constantly. They run out after a long list of failures.
Dude what do you think Morey is doing right now? Do you not think that Morey would trade him now if he could for good value??? He's not just going to Amnesty his contract. Wake up man. The front office knows that Scola isnt the answer, but until Patterson or whoever can take the next step, Scola is there to push them in practice and make them better by earning the minutes in games. The only problem Morey has is he drafts TOO GOOD in the late 1st and 2nd round. Those players have turned out good enough to keep the Rockets out of the lottery. The only thing you can complain about (if your a fan of tanking) is that he is too good at drafting good role players later in the draft. Those players have managed to keep the Rockets good, but not quite good enough to be a contender, and not quite bad enough to get Kyrie Irving.
I missed the part where we are contenders in the last few years. Have exciting young talent the league likes to notice for foul calls. The part where this all going somewhere so far. Maybe it went over my head? I said the same thing last year. I said 500 and gave the prediction probably 500 for this year too. The next year? Probably 500 unless Morey actually does something different.
