I seriously think that he will, though I may be Lowry biased. I think as he enters his prime we will start to see him shine brighter than we could have ever hoped.

You shouldn't have made your moniker about a current Rockets player. You'll regret it,lol, look at all the T Mac monikers around here.

    Short answer No.

    Long answer:
    Better than Lowry:
Rose, Westbrook, CP3, Deron, Ty Lawson, Rubio, Wall, Irving, Jennings, Curry

Then lets add the ones he is close to:
Parker, Rondo, Nash (Nash is only here because of his age)

I'm sure I'm leaving some out, but the PG position is LOADED in the NBA right now.

He is a bulldog, a very good PG, but does not have the athleticism or passing ability to be elite.

His best attribute is his competitive fire.....

He certainly can be. He's still only 25.

He has great penetration and defensive ability.

Rose, Westbrook, Ty Lawson, Rubio, Wall, Irving, Jennings, Curry, Rondo

    These guys are young too.

I think the topic should be more pointing toward an attribute. Defense, sure is up there. I dont know about penetration for top 5, I mean look at that list of young people above and then you add other stars ie CP3 and DW.

Now let Clyde chime in. He surely thinks Lowry is a sure Allstar. ;)

He can still round off his passing skills. Remember that there is still much room for improvement and im not saying he is even remotely close to Rose or Westbrook but he could find himself in that mix eventually....

He was top 3 at the beginning of the season, slipped to around 10-14 among PGs.

Rose, Westbrook, cp3 and williams are clearly better.

But Lowry is in that next group right now. He's in a major slump right now, but when you look at what hes done since he took over for AB. He's averaging 14 and 7 while playing elite defense, yes he is normally an elite defensive point guard.

His plus minus numbers have been consistently off the chart. Over the last 2 years, he has a positive plus minus with everyone who has been in the rockets rotation, that's by my count 13 different guys

He is struggling at the moment, but other than the 4 I mentioned, i wouldn't take anyone else over him. He'll never be elite simply doesn't have the talent, but hes just a notch below.

    Top 5

    5. Lowry
    4. Rondo
    3. Williams
    2. Paul
    1. Rose

People saying Ty lawson, Ricky Rubio, and Brandon Jennings are better than Lowry no nothing about basketball! I could argue that Lowry could be 3rd on that list.

And I don't really consider Westbrook a PG, that's why he's not on the list.

I don't think DWilliams is clearly better this year..... He was snubbed out of the Allstar contest, having a mediocre year with a lot of turn overs.
Russell Westbrook's offense is off the charts but he is not having good court vision and allround numbers to be considered elite...... he is one tier below

    Rose
    CP3
    Curry
    Kyrie Irving

are clearly ahead of him this year
    Westbrook being the wild card

Kyle with Parker, Lawson, Rubio, Rondo are about the same
    Deron closing in

Very true DD. I think Lowry's career will be defined around the success he has in the playoffs. He could have a Billups like career for we know, he has the heart and the desire to be an elite winner. Winning in the postseason is all that will matter in his career.

I dont expect him ever to be respected around the league and in the media until he wins big. Like you said, he doesnt have the flashy attributes to be considered elite around the league.
